They installed the new stereo device for me but charged a lot installation fee(even more than the device itself). Also, when I came back to fix some issues, they didn't solve everything with patience.

I hope you're reading this message Diamond Tam -I visited Audio Sound Design on 07/25/23 after discovering them on Google and seeing positive reviews. Upon calling the store, I spoke with Tam, whom I later learned was the owner. I inquired about the JL C2 650 component speakers and was quoted a price that we both agreed upon. I promptly visited the store to place the order, anticipating potential wait times for the products. In addition to the speakers, I ordered a JL subwoofer (10w0v3), an 8-gauge wiring kit, and a JL remote bass knob (RBC-1). Tam inquired about my amplifier, to which I mentioned the JD400/4 amp from JL. Tam informed me that the bass knob was a special order item, requiring a couple of days for delivery, to which I agreed.Upon receiving the audio kit, I began installing the components in my car. During a previous conversation with Tam, I had discussed obtaining a grille to protect the subwoofer box from truck elements. Tam advised me that this would be a special order, necessitating a two-day wait for pickup. I was understanding of this process, given the nature of special orders. I told him I planned to purchase the subwoofer cover once my installation was complete and the car was off the road for a week. However, upon installation, I noticed that the RBC-1 remote bass knob lacked a port to connect to my JL amplifier. It became evident that this part was either incorrect or incompatible. Despite Tam's assurance that the part would work, I realized that it wasn't suitable for my setup. I called the store and spoke to Wayne, who confirmed that the knob was indeed not compatible with my amplifier. Wayne offered a solution: returning the knob with its original undamaged packaging (though the box was slightly ripped) for a refund. During this call, I also inquired about ordering the cover and agreed to pay the price difference upon pickup (less than $10). Wayne indicated the cover could arrive on Friday or Saturday, with Monday as an option due to my schedule.Upon my return to the store to pick up the cover and process the return/refund, I was informed by Tam, who was not present physically but on the phone, that I needed to wait 2-3 hours for him to retrieve the part from his car. This struck me as unusual, as most stores would have customer products available in-store for pickup. Tam also conveyed that the error in selecting the incompatible part was my responsibility. He asserted that the issue rested with me since I had taken possession of the part. He denied a refund and instructed me to manage the situation myself. This response was perplexing, considering that I relied on his expertise and the assurance that the part would work.I find it challenging to comprehend how a business owner could provide misleading information about product compatibility and then shift the blame onto the customer. Furthermore, Tam indicated that I could not request in-store availability for products despite being informed 2-3 days prior. In my experience with reputable businesses known for exceptional customer service, if a product is expected to be in-store and communicated as such to a customer, it should indeed be available or a delay should be promptly communicated. This principle seems like common sense to me. I was especially baffled by the fact that Tam instructed me to visit on Friday or Saturday for pickup (while I had mentioned Monday), only to deny access to the part at any time, even though it should have been in-store for the past two days.Wayne was present and addressed the situation appropriately. He recognized the miscommunication and Tam's oversight and rectified it by arranging an e-transfer to cover the owed amount. This resolution occurred after observing my evident frustration and hearing my concerns.Tam, I urge you to improve your customer communication skills and accountability. If I could, I would assign a -5/5 rating based on this experience.

I googled a few car audio shops within a 50km vicinity of my location. This was one of the four spots I visited. I provided as much detail in regards to my car audio install 1” dome tweeters with crossovers (L+R), 6.5” mid-bass speakers (L+R doors), and 6x9” rear (L+R). Now, I needed an amp to power my speakers at 100 watts rms x 4 speakers @ 4 ohms. I don’t know if I’ll need a DSP or a line out converter. Wayne didn’t provide any suggestions as to what he can do or what products would suit my needs. I understand why his shop only has a 3.9 star rating. Had he recommended and helped me out with my build, I would have purchased something. I did drive out of my way and certainly wouldn’t again, nor would I recommend this place. Wayne wasn’t very helpful despite me giving him clear details about my car audio installation.

R.I.P. to my first car with a proper amplifier and subwoofer upgrade from here. The sales person there at the time, uhhhhhh 2018?, was helpful and friendly. He didn’t push too much on sales which was thoughtful of him and was considerate of the budget I had. Him and a friend of his got my sound system rocking, which I still have, just not in the same car, collecting dust.

If I can give no star I would, This "Tam" owner is a terrible person in customer services, he will make promises and not delivered, he will try to passed the bucket and not take any responsibilities for his own mistakes. If you are a new customer, I would highly advise you to take your business somewhere else there is tons of good audio place out there and that's what I did, where they will treat with respect and own up their own mistakes. Shop at your own risk.

went to then twice and never failed to impress - highly recommend this place for custom installations, especially for speakers and subs - after looking around at different shops they have the best pricing in the area with decent variety - they will work until the job is done no matter how long it takes - if you don't want to wait a week to get an appointment, this is the place to go
