Buyer beware. Ottawa custom blinds is the owner’s (Omar) second job, and his customer service reflects it.Unfortunately for us, our last experience with Omar was quite negative, despite being a returning customer.The first time we hired Omar and Ottawa custom blinds to equip our home, we were satisfied with the product, however poor customer service was the overarching experience we would experience.During his initial consult, he forgot to measure a bathroom window in our home and proceeded to blame us for this error. We gave him the benefit of the doubt, considering as he mentioned to us that Ottawa custom blinds was his secondary job as he also works full time as an engineer. We would come to regret this decision.When we worked with Omar for a new home we purchased, he was anything but effective. It took us as the customer to reach out on more than one occasion to remind him that we required a quote, and specific delivery date. When he then noted that he was unable to meet the delivery date, we decided to go with another vendor.Omar then proceeded to refuse to return our deposit over, despite never articulating that deposits are non refundable.We share this experience with the intent to protect other prospective clients and his predatory business practices.

Really happy with our blinds and the quality of them. Omar was very pleasant to deal with and offered fantastic rates compared to other local competition. Definitely recommend him and this company to others ?

Very good service. Umar visited us for consult and quote. He had to attend a couple of times; seemed knowledgeable & experienced. He took time to explain the choices and prices. Blinds were installed, within 3-4 weeks of taking the order. Good quality work quality (seems very good, so far) at a reasonable price. I would not hesitate to recommending him to anyone.

Omar and Milan were lovely and very personable. We love the plantation shutters we ordered and our installer was polite and friendly. We love the shutters and would definitely use this company again for any future shutter/blind purchases.
