Our extended family just purchased an 18' Henley from The Cove. We chose The Cove because friends had recommended them, and our experience was also great. Nick, our salesman, was patient while we went through the slow process of making a large purchase by committee. He also did his homework to ensure that there would be no surprises in registering it to non-residents. When our vacation finally came, the boat was in the water waiting for us. Nothing but praise for Nick and the Cove!

I purchased a new Yamaha 2022 212XE from the Cove the other summer. I am leaving this updated review after 2 years with the boat and my experiences with the Cove. The pick-up process was rushed and not all promised accessories were provided. I qualified for an extended warranty but The Cove never followed up to add it. I had to follow-up with Yamaha and the Cove 5 times to get the warranty added. I then had an issue with the stereo functions in the boat description but not included on my boat. The Cove manager kept saying that he was meeting with Yamaha to get the matter resolved but never did and after I pursued with multiple follow-ups the Cove said they could not help me. I then made a warranty claim for a seat cushion repair which remained outstanding for over a year with no resolution and no follow-up by the Cove.
Following posting an initial compliant, the Cove manager said I was difficult to deal with, cancelled my warranty claim, cancelled a wake accessory I ordered and indicated they did not want my business. Off course they accepted the business when I spent $100K on a boat with them for which they happily accepted payment.
Following the above, I dealt directly with Yamaha and received my repair part within 4 weeks. I also ordered the wake accessory online saving over 50% of the price the Cove offered.
The Cove was difficult throughout my experience with them. When my boat arrived the salesman initially said I had 3-4 weeks to pick up as they were back-logged by Covid. This worked for me as my dock was to be installed within that time-limit. After 1.5 weeks though, the salesperson called back on a Sunday night saying that I had to come in Monday morning to pick up and pay for the boat. This left me basically no time to coordinate. Further, I had previously tried to pay for the boat in full and in advance when it arrived but the accounting staff processed my name incorrectly on the paperwork and indicated that I could pay when I picked up the boat as they were going on vacation and needed all paperwork to be updated for warranty submission. I come up to cottage country on the weekends so I had to coordinate quickly and although trying to process pick-up earlier that week, I had to wait as the sales person was going on vacation and was not available for drop-off later that week which was likely the real reason for his abrupt message to pick up the boat immediately.
The Cove sales and accounting staff were not coordinated with the manager and the manager constantly changed his stories on payment, pick-up, my queries, and warranty. In the end he indicated never to return to his store siting rudeness which was not the case. However, it has been a pleasure to accommodate his request and I certainly do not retract my comments. They are true and accurate.
There are multiple marine shops in cottage country servicing and selling Yamaha boats and accessories so I am fortunate to have good options.
Followup - after reading the response from the Cove, it's clear they have issues backed up by other negative reviews posted about them. My comments are all true and it's unfortunate the manager is not able to deal with the reality of how they run the business. My review is calm and his response is erratic demonstrating the type of people they are.

We recently purchased a used pontoon boat from The Cove. Our salesperson was Austin. He went above and beyond in customer service and satisfaction. He was prompt to answer all questions via text or email and was patient during the purchasing process. We highly recommend purchasing a boat from The Cove, especially from Austin.

I purchased a demo sled from them, asked for some accessories to be installed, well after picking up the sled and paying and being told your sled is ready for pickup. Exciting!!! Well after getting it home and going over it better I noticed the accessories I bought and was told were on the snowmobile.. were not.. and missing stock parts. A real downer...they did come pick up the sled and installed the accessories and the stock part missing and returned it. After receiving it back I had to re tighten the track back to speck after they replaced the sliders, .. which should of been done after the install. Also 2 weeks later.. after first ride the rer reverse stops working. Not there fault but when I reached out to the sales men I was told "call but probably have to wait until they can get to you" . Definitely did not leave a good taste in my mouth. I reached out to a different skidoo dealer, and they had no problem taking a look to resolve the issue fast and promptly as I had a trip booked. Thanks to them!!!

We had the best experience ever purchasing a used sled from The Cove! We live three hours away and it was absolutely worth the drive. Thanks to Nick, the mechanics and everyone else for making this such a positive experience! We will definitely go back to The Cove for any future purchases!Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Sent in a STIHL trimmer for replacement of clutch. I was missing a few screws but I provided the clutch. The repair cost $270. So the repair (which took 2 hours…. It was already apart) + the cost of my clutch was well over the cost of a new trimmer. Just my opinion but you would think someone would say “hey! It will be cheaper just to buy a new trimmer”. Just my opinion
