I’ve shopped at this particular location a handful of times and every.single.time I’ve felt like I was an inconvenience or under suspicion of stealing. I understand that I probably look a bit rough around the edges especially after work but this is no way for staff to conduct themselves. I understand the area we do business/live in has issues with marginalized groups and maybe shoplifting is an issue but you cannot assume everyone is going to try and steal from you.
I love the selection of various hardware components among various other items available to assist in home repair or maintenance and it seems as if this location is a staple in the neighbourhood which is also something I loved about it, however, I will not spend my money in a place where I feel unwelcome.
In addition the young person at the counter (with the tattoos) is incredibly abrasive, if you don’t like people or are stressed out by working with the public, maybe, just maybe don’t work in customer service 🤷🏼♂️

Small shop with small town feel. They have everything we need and more. And not like some box stores that the employees seem to hide, they at Summer's are there to help, knowledgeable and not overwhelming.
Recommend visiting.
Also, if you need help carrying your purchase, they still do that too.

Came looking for cabinet hinges, can't remember his name but he was Awesome. Spent 30$ at home depot and they didnt work, 11$ at this store and they work perfectly, once again thanks, great staff very helpul everytime i go in.

I purchased a lawn mower yesterday and unfortunately it would not fit in my small SUV, the salesman went above and beyond to deliver it to me the same evening. Very pleased with the purchase and many many thanks to Summers home hardware!

Great store, always helpful staff. Always have what I need and you don't have to drive across the city to get it. The prices beat the big box stores on almost every item I have found so far and the knowledge of their staff is far and beyond that of their competitors. I was surprised the first time I shopped there many years ago, and still am today at the level of customer service and the great prices.

Always staff is available and courteous to help find stuff. Did the small size this store often had what you want and at good prices, always check their weekly flyer for great deals.

Hours need to be updated. CLOSED SUNDAYS! Kinda silly considering most people do home projects etc on the weekends lol other than that I find the prices a little cheaper for somethings compared to HD.
