$10 for a lighter that does not work & they refused to replace it! Save yourself from being ripped off & go up to Ray's or 7Eleven because these guys are straight up crooks.Come back John & Jenny, we miss you!REPLY.I returned the lighter the very next day not months later & had a conversion with the store employee whether the lighter would work for more than a day, & was lied to & not credited

Too pricey.?? Go to Ray’s variety store or somewhere else. Never gonna shop here again. Even for 591 ml 7up cost 3.72$. Everything is overpriced they are not even displayed any prices.

I used to love this store under the previous ownership. The prices were fair and everyone living in the local community would talk about how they would get most of their groceries there due to the store’s convenience and affordability.However, that has all changed now. While there has been an increase in merchandise options to choose from (a good portion due to the appearance of Walmart’s Great Value brand products on some shelves). The new owners have decided to remove all price labels from the store and jacked up the prices an insane amount. For example, during my last visit I was charged over $18 for a block of butter and a tiny 250mL bottle of Palermo brand olive oil. Which after a quick google search, I found a much larger bottle (32fl oz, roughly 950mL) of the same brand of olive oil at Walmart for $10.47.Additionally, I also couldn’t help but notice that they removed the nutritional facts/barcode sticker due to the visible remnants of adhesive on the back of the bottle.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. This place is ridiculously overpriced and gouges all of the university students that are living around this place. It’s dirty, everything is expired and they are rude, NOTHING like the previous owners. I would go several times a week to just pick up something quick but never again. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

The store owners are very friendly, but the prices are predatory. I understand I can’t expect grocery store prices but their prices are comparable to buying takeout at this point. I am hoping the owners will consider lowering prices on their stuff and make up the difference in volume. Alternatively, it would at least be nice to have the prices displayed on the shelves and/or on a screen as they are scanned in so you have more of an opportunity to not buy/put back more overpriced items.If you’re buying more than a couple items it’s probably cheaper to pay to deliver them from a grocery store, or you can pay a similar price for non-frozen food from one of the local restaurants.

I loved the old owners but I like the new owner also. They upgraded the store a lot now and it's beautifully don't and spacious. Yes prices are higher but inflation and everywhere else is too, so no point in complaining about a store for something mostly out of their control. I'm not normally one for change but I like the changes and the friendly owner. Keep up the good work !?
