I recently purchased a coffee table from Hart Homes Canada on Exeter Road for around $120. The table required self-assembly, and we diligently followed the provided instructions. After almost three hours of assembling, we noticed an issue: a spring was hanging on top with no designated place to fix it. Despite our efforts, there was a noticeable gap when closing the table.
Believing we might have made a mistake, we dismantled and reassembled the table from scratch. Unfortunately, the same problem persisted. Upon closer inspection, we discovered that the pre-drilled holes were incorrectly placed. Consequently, we decided to return the product.
However, when we contacted Hart Homes about returning the table, we were informed that returns are not accepted if the package is opened. We explained the issue was due to a manufacturing defect, but the sales representative told us to measure and drill new holes ourselves. We were astounded by this response.
In the end, we measured and fixed the problem ourselves because we had already invested $120. Nonetheless, I am thoroughly disappointed with both the product quality and the after-sales service from Hart Homes. I expected better from such a reputable store.

I went and I bought a curtain and the next day I had to return them as they did not fit my living room. There was no damage and with their original package, however they did not return them or exchange. Besides, the customer service lady was rude and disgusting. She did not help as at all and she wasn’t nice even. Never going there again and do not recommend it to any one

I buoyed zebra curtains and no one told me no change for the opened product so they didn't change it and I had to buy a new one, and the customer service is disgusting. They never help us.I do not recommend you to waste your money.

I’ve been to that store a few times, and customer service is very poor, they can look at you when you walk in and don’t even smile or say hello , they don’t smile, and not even some light music as a background trying kill the silence when you walk in . So disappointed .

Unbelievable!! I bought blinds there and they were impossible to put together. They wouldn’t even give me a store credit for something else in the store. absolute terrible customer service. I’ll never shop there ever again!!!

THANK YOU AMY--EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! We live out of town so I called to ask about a specific type of socks and Amy was so helpful. She could not find them at the time but then an hour later she surprised me with a phone call to me to tell me she found them. We were so impressed. Who does that now days? TRUE customer service at its best!!! Thank you Amy! You are an excellent employee. She is a keeper!

Today I witnessed “manager” Jennifer ask a customer if she was “stupid” while addressing an inquiry regarding an exchange at the Exeter location in London.This disgusting display of unprofessionalism ensured that I will never shop here. Keeping this person in a position of authority (or in any position whatsoever) is irresponsible and and a blatant disregard for the basic principles of customer service.Go to homesense. Their stuff is better anyway.

This store has decent stuff, but make sure you want it because even know there’s a sign on the door saying 7 days to exchange they try and say everything not to do that. This is not the first time they have said they don’t want to take it back even know it’s in same condition didn’t even open it and the same cashier was there when I bought it. She said she wasn’t allowed to do that. It’s only when I made a fuss she took it back. Also they advertise stuff in their flyer that never came in and is never coming in.Buyer beware
