I used to like going there, as they usually have a warmer atmosphere, compared to say a canadian tire, or home depot. But recently, my fiancee accidentally lost our keyless fob while driving into London from port stanley. She didn't know what to do. So she parked at Peavey, at the side where nobody goes, and turned off the car with the windows down. This was on a Saturday evening. Nobody was answering my calls when I got there, to see what a new fob would cost. I presumed $200 from where I had one reprogrammed a few years back. So we slept in the car, to make sure thieves ŵ get in there. But same thing Sunday. Nobody answered. So another night in the car. Living in port stanley, it made no sense to tow it there. Because tge cost of a technician to come program it there would be through the roof. So monday morning the manager pulls in, and without question tells me that the vehicle needs to leave immediately. I had to get him to calmy listen to me explain the situation, and he seemed to be happier that I was in actual distress from the situation, and not a vagrant living in my car in his parking lot.
We finally managed to get ahold of a couple of locksmiths, and found out it was going to cost us around $300 to replace the key. Which i wasn't able to spend for a couple of days more. So the next day, another manager walked by my fiancee as we were leaving to start our day, and told her that we'd overstayed our welcome. Then another employee asked if we were leaving before the end of the day.
Now if anyone knows this peavey mart. They know that tge side parking l9t I'd always empty. So we weren't taking up any potential customer parking space. We also kept our area clean. And didn't hang around through the sau to cause any attention to ourselves. So this was just a flagrant abuse of power for a few people. Not caring that we were having a problem and needed some time. I will never shop there again.”
“My 2 year old and I went to Homedepot at Westwood Center to pick up a sled that was advertised in the flyer. To my surprise the sled required a lot of assembly. After purchasing I approached the customer service desk to ask if they could remove the ziptie on it (my plan was to assemble it at my car). A staff member, Tony, quickly jumped in and started assembling it for me. The other customer service staff were very kind and interacted with my son while we waited. I am very appreciative of the customer service I received and so very thankful to Tony for taking the time to put the sled together.”
“Alex answered the phone after I called the Appliance Dept and asked about Bosch dishwashers. He gave me so much information that we drove right down there to buy one after i hung up the phone.
He was not meant to be covering that department, but after I tracked him down, he still spent a good half hour walking us thru Bosch dishwashers. He had an incredible amount of knowledge and talked loud enough for mother to hear him. He even stapled the dishwasher receipt to the inside of the pamphlet instead of the outside 'because light degrades the receipt paper'.
This morning we had called London Major Appliances and asked if the had a Bosch 300 dishwasher, they said "no" and when I asked how long it would take to order one, they said they had no idea.
