The problem with a lot of readily-available leather gloves these days are the lack of colours to choose from, and the use of cheaper hides and threads. At the end of the day, you're stuck with a lackluster glove that's stiff on the hand, and is liable to fall apart after a few wears. I used to buy my gloves either vintage or from Etsy, but that's since changed. I was recently chatting with an acquaintance of mine, who mentioned a place called "Boutique Firenze," which as he put it, "sold all kinds of nice gloves from Italy." I'll admit I was a bit surprised at the fact there was such a place in London, then disappointed I hadn't discovered it sooner, then a bit skeptical as it seemed a bit too good to be true. Some digging online piqued my curiosity and I knew I'd have to check this place out. First off, they have a wide selection of both men's and women's gloves and scarves, plus some assorted artisan goods and gifts. I spotted a mix of vintage gloves, driving gloves, unlined gloves, silk-lined gloves, wool-lined gloves and cashmere-lined gloves, and a variety of designs and closure types. First good sign. If you can name it, they probably have it. Second good sign. The glove leather is some of the softest leather I've ever felt and has a really nice "hand." It's very soft, supple and slightly stretchy, which is exactly what you want in a glove leather. These gloves scream quality, and are made the traditional way as they should be. Third good sign. They really knew their products and were happy to answer my questions and let me try on a few different pairs of gloves. Fourth good sign. The prices were really fair too, and I've seen comparable gloves go for about double or triple online. Fifth good sign. Anyways, I ended up picking up a nice pair of midnight blue winter gloves which should go well with most of my coats. If you've made it this far, good job I guess, but seriously, just stop reading this and give them your money for probably the nicest pair of gloves you'll ever own. I could keep going, but I guess one wall of text is enough.

My husband brought me here to choose some gloves. The range was excellent and the lady looking after us was very patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. I did find it hard to choose from the selection of gloves but there was no pressure to rush and we left the store with several pairs of very high-quality, beautiful gloves. We both were very happy with the experience of shopping here and will definitely be back again very soon. Thank you.

My wife visited the store today with our two toddlers who used the showroom and their personal racetrack and proceeded to touch every single item in the store. The lady behind the counter didn’t seem bothered or annoyed. Very pleasant and helpful. Products were fabulous. Happy to find this slice of Italy!

This store is a gem. The wonderful owner selects fine gloves, scarves, jewellery, luxury soaps and other items from Italy. There are treats for gentlemen too such as fine driving gloves. Also, the store supports the efforts of local charities and artists.. It is simply sumptuous shopping.

DO NOT GET GLOVES HERE. My hubby gave me a combination of gift certificate and money for Bettina's store. It was not 5 hours out of the store and noticed the seam was not sewed correctly. Not her fault I realize but rather than replace them OR refund us she insisted of repairing them which is NOT what I wanted. Poor customer service and rotten attitude.Word of mouth is the best or worst advertisement, she will be getting the worst.

I visited this store because I had seen advertising with pictures of beautiful gloves and scarfs. I was not disappointed- I bought two pairs of dressier gloves and one pair of knotted ones that have worked perfectly to keep my arthritic hands warm at night. The owner is very personable and very willing to share her experiences in Italy while purchasing her products. She fits the gloves professionally which is a very big deal. Enjoyed shopping here.

A shopper's dream and a pleasant visual experience, the displays at Boutique Firenze are ever so inviting and varied. With so many delightful and elegant items to choose from, one is unlikely to leave empty-handed. Note-worthy are the items sold to benefit others. Refreshingly, this is a boutique with a social conscience. Highly recommended.

It was fascinating meeting Bettina who's knowledge of her wares lead me to learning of her trips to Italy to find the very best of Italian handmade leather gloves.
