I was in the mission store today and yes as soon as you walk in the door they tell you to put your bag or bags behind the counter. I dont understand why they tell you to do that because they do have metal detectors at the door that you leave through. I too have felt like a criminal going in there. I do like to look around to see what they have, but I dont buy too much there at all. I think though from today going forward I wont be shopping there at all. I will go to Vicky's Values to shop where the prices are much much closer to what they should be for second hand items. Another bonus also is that at Vicky's they dont tell you to put your bags behind the counter. Yes the staff are very rude at the Mission store. I am surprised they make as much as they do to pay for the rent of that huge store. Go to Vicky's Values where you will be treated like you should be because they do appreciate their customers! I wouldn't donate to the mission store at all. I never have before so why would I start now? Go to Vicky's Values. That is my advice.

Shelf were not full very sparse and over priced for some things this was last years post
This year Well this place is horrible I can not believe that they have security tags on clothing that have donated.
.Did the power of be ever consider maybe lowering their price maybe people in need just can't afford the inflated prices of used cloths. After seeing this they will never get another cent of mine and I will be sure to pass on what I think of this place

Very high, overpriced items with no order to how things are displayed. They seem to have no trust in anyone with locked change rooms and a sign point out about theft. I understand that theft is a problem, but not everyone is a thief. No public washrooms, which seems to be a holdover from COVID19. Overall, the place does not have a welcoming feeling to it.

I was looking for a place to donate items from my late father's home. I had 5 bags of high quality clothing that had been washed, sorted and labeled. When I arrived, it happened to be 45 minutes from closing (not 5) and this seemed to trouble the older woman behind the counter greatly. She made a big show of rolling her eyes, sighing and gesturing to the clock to show me how much I was inconveniencing her. So I told her "no trouble" and left. I would never support such a rude business. 0% recommend donating your items here.

The store is clean but horrible for price gouging on secondhand items. The staff is downright atrocious and act high and mighty and will treat you like a criminal as soon as you walk through the door. Been in there in a couple times and watch them treat teenagers like trash. A store like this is for people on hard times is it not? How is it that people can’t even afford these prices or how is it that the store tries to turn over such a large profit on their boutique items which are also secondhand. I know for the fact that the money does not go to help poor it goes to fund their church. My daughter bought some thing from there and tried to return it and they treated her horribly. Their customer service was so bad that my daughter had to hang up and try and call back just to be able to talk to somebody that was able to carry out a normal conversation. to make it even worse once the manager got on, tried to tell my daughter that she was trying to return shoes that she didn’t even get from there because they couldn’t find them in the system. I highly recommend getting better people to Work in your store.

For a Christian based Thrift store, the people working there are pretty rude and follow you around like you're going to steal. I won't be back.

Have they forgotten they received these clothes for free? Used kids sandals for $7.99 is absurd. This is not helpful.

The store made me feel like was a criminal. Soon as walked in with my bag , they were yelling at me to leave it at front . I thought maybe they might want my purse also . Rude people work there & every thing is overpriced.

Fantastic staff, and much fairer prices than the new big box thrift stores that seem to destroy your wallet on stuff they get for free. Always something new and lots to see. Clean store, excellent value, amazing, friendly staff.

On February 8th 2024 my daughter was at the mission where we take our donations. While she was there she witnessed a homeless man ask for a blanket. He was referred to see the ladies in the back, the ladies in the back then told him that they did not have a blanket for him. He just said okay was very nice to my daughter and her little baby and. Now my daughter bought a blanket and found him and gave him the blanket. She wanted to know what was Wrong with our world that a homeless man could not get a blanket from a thrift store that runs off donations. I myself would also like to know I will be contacting the mission and I will be asking that question. What I won't be doing is taking my donations there.
