I wa there at 5:30 for my 5 to 6 window. They didn't even start my order. Told me to come back in an hour. It's 7:30 and I'm still waiting. You also can't understand them on the phone. Language barrier

Well, I’m sitting in my car waiting for my order. It’s been 30 minutes and they haven’t even finished picking my order. It was supposed to be done over an hour ago. I don’t care if this service is free. It’s not worth my time or the hassle. I’ll pay $3.00 at the superstore from now on.

This Walmart has been my go-to grocer for years. They have some of the best deals and a massive variety of stuff. Compared to the other local Walmarts around, this one is one of the most organized in terms of shelving and overall layout. It doesn't feel overly cluttered like the Walmart in ira needles for instance. Lines aren't long and they have 2 massive self checkout areas. Customer service isn't exceptional but typically nothing too bad. Fitting rooms are often out of service and there just might be one open and the surrounding area is often messy (clothes piled in carts, and the pyjamas are all over the place) but still functional. They also have a pretty solid international food isle with a lot of asian groceries I can't find at other classic grocers. They have a big selection of ramen! Yum!!

The last two times we were at this store customer service is terrible, both times there were no buggies in the store at either entrance so we had to use a hand basket to carry heavy items to the checkout (Juices) we may a have shopped longer if we had a cart. After going through the checkout we used the hand basket to carry our purchases to our vehicle which triggered the alarm at the exit doors and security came running saying we can't use hand basket to carry our purchases. They can afford security to make sure nobody takes nothing from store but can't make sure that somebody is around to gather all the shopping carts scattered all over the parking lot. This is probably because of lack of store management or not enough employees to do this job. Just wait and see what level of service you will receive when the $15.00 an hour minimum wage comes into effect, you will not find a employee to help you anywhere in the store. Walmart has the reputation of being cheap, beating up suppliers, dictating to landlords, monopolizing the retail industry by trying push all competitors out of business by selling cheap imported crap. Walmart's business model is based on big corporate USA style and there is nothing Canadian about it. I will not go back to this store and will avoid any other Walmart if there is an alternate left, we should all strive to buy from Canadian based retailers.

For many years I've gone to Walmart for most of my shopping needs and have found they usually have the best prices and selection. But just recently the customer service at the Sunrise Centre store in Kitchener has gotten really bad. On one visit I waited at least 20 minutes for someone to open a fitting room so I could try a shirt on. No one could find the key. And just today a cashier was so rude and impatient with me, I was shocked. I've often found it's the younger employees who don't have much patience or consideration for others and don't provide much helpful service, but this cashier was an older woman ( she probably needs to retire). I might start shopping elsewhere soon.

I know it's cool to bash Walmart, but I am a fan of this chain of discount department store. There was a time where I would not shop at this chain. However, in these uncertain economic times, I think Walmart is a good place to shop. The selection isn't always perfect (for example, I can't always buy the specific peanut butter my wife likes), but the prices are fantastic (in fact they guarantee the lowest price and have a price match policy). The in-store McDonald's restaurant gives a nice place to stop and have a break. This local Supercentre store boasts a complete grocery section with everything from soup to nuts, meat to dairy, bakery to fresh produce, as well as a full-service deli. The quality of the items are not always the best, but when a pair of jeans are priced at only $10, I can't really complain, especially when you take into account their fairly liberal return and exchange policies. If you are looking to stretch your budget, and you are willing to make some compromises to get more savings, Walmart may just be the place you're looking for.
