I was there Friday October 11 2024 and Saturday October 12 2024, looking for the frozen pork breakfast sausage, the tubes, and having a hard time finding it. I noticed two coworkers standing around talking, and when I asked, they would not even answer me or look my way. Finally, a young man named Luke came out I asked him. HE went and asked another person, who very strongly “suggested” that the sausage I was looking for was gone because of a current Tik-Tok trend. Luke then ran around the store and found out they were out of stock and then suggested I try a different location. But Luke didn’t leave me until he was satisfied there was none in the store. I returned back on the Saturday12/24 looking for the turkeys that we on sale and learned they were out of turkeys at both stores and again Luke ran around the store trying to locate them for me. Again, In was very unhappy with the stores, a four-day sale that only had product for one day… very unhappy! But nit with Luke, he was amazing! Keep up the great customer experience Luke!

First time in the store today, relatively fine experience until I get home and discover several shrivelled up and rotten tomatoes hidden within the tomatoes I had just purchased earlier. I will be going elsewhere, as I don’t want to be dealing with safety concerns such as this.

The prices are about as good as you can hope. The cashiers are friendly and understanding.

Customer service is very poor.The lady was so rude over the phone.i did call just for ask about product and she said i dont know very rudly.

I found the store very dirty and messy
Food spilled on shelves very untidy
When I got to the checkout the blt was dirty asked girl to clean it before I placed my Food on it
Little did I know that the other end where you pack your groceries was just as bad.
No interest in going back

This is the worst Food Basics store I’ve been too. I had to sort through the sour cream, ketchup and eggs today to find something that was not broken or already expired. There seemed to be lots of people working yet there was still spilled pasta all over the shelves and smashed fruit cups on the floor. To top it off, there were not strawberries left so I asked a produce worker if he had anymore. He replied and said yes and that he would go get it in just a minute. He proceeded to spend the next 20 mins stocking the already full shelf of bananas instead of getting the strawberries for me and other customers who were waiting. Only when I was finished my shopping did I see him putting them out. I will stick to the Laurelwood location from now on. Surprised anyone would come here.

a super super bad experience Due to carelessness, I forgot to bring my card and when I paid, I wanted to pay cash. But the staff said NO CASH, ONLY CARDS. I felt so insulted, the staff attitude was absolutely BAD. They made me queue elsewhere to pay.

One employee might be low-key racist. Everything was fine getting groceries up until the self checkout. I was prompted if I had my own bag in which I did, proceeded with that, scanned the items, and put them in. Once one bag was filled I pressed again that I had my own bag, but it did the prompt where I need assistance and mind you there was another customer nearby that had the same problem but they were Caucasian. The employee looks at me like almost an eye roll, then started to lecture me on how to use the machine like I'm 5 and I told them that's what I did but it prompted the need assistance. After that ordeal she went over the other "Caucasian" customer and she didn't even lecture him, she joked with him, had a big smile, laughed, and all she did was scanned her card and that was it. Done in seconds where it felt like an eternity for me cause I was of colour.

Really like this store. Unfortunately they didn't have the advertised produce. I was offered rain check but declined since I live to far away
