Ok their prices are great and that is what attract people to go shop there. Most items that are good price have a reason and that reason is that the fruit or vegetable are near being rotten or are rotten at the bottom or near expiry date??? Today I thought I would try again to get chi Ken wings at 1.99 about d.. Get there at 1030 no chicken. The cou ter person says oh we sold our...not likely I said. Spoke with head cashier, she calls the person in charge...she will be here in 15 min...another 25min...then another 15 min. The head cashier calls again...oh now it's one hourmire. I told her I couldn't wait any longer a want a rain check.. I will do better give me your telephone and when they are here I will call you. How much h do you want ...10pounds I say. Ok no problem let me know when you want.3Pm I am at home in Kitchener and still no call to let me know.

As a small vendor for them we were excited to start working with them, but after ordering a couple times and never paying we had to stop supplying. It has been two years and they have still never paid us. We keep getting told that the owner "Michael" will be calling us. Never calls. No payment, no offer to figure it out. We are not the only ones!! And our product is still on the shelf! Such a shame.

I was @ dutchies on Saturday March 9 2024 and I was over by the meat counter and I happened to notice @ the milk section that there was milk being advertised for $1.50 and all of the milk was expired with dates of february and here's my question that why is this milk still on the shelves and not pulled from the shelves because dutchies can not sell this due to expired and if the CFIA came into the store and spotted this the store would be in trouble so I am hoping to hear from the store owner about why is this store doing this

Updated: not sure what's happened to this store since it arrived. Initially selection was good as well as prices. We now no longer shop there. A good portion of the store has been shuttered, stock levels are low. There seem to be many complaints from previous workers and suppliers about the safety of their food practices as well as ability to pay employees and suppliers.

I used to LOVE coming here - the staff was always so welcoming, said hello, had samples etc. now I come in and no one says hello, they all look like they literally hate being there, it's almost uncomfortable. Where is the crew that used to cut and package the meat? The meat does not look fresh anymore it looks like it's been sitting out for awhile which is scary ...& It's one lady now doing the cutting and packaging, I don't feel like she really knows what she's doing :/ I hate to be so negative and I will return for my fruits and veggies but I'll be finding somewhere else to get my meat and hope things start to turn around!

My husband had the worst experience working as an employee at Dutchie's. They tortured him mentally by making him work more than 12 hours on his very first day without any training and the existing staff is completely disrespectful and rude. Please think twice even before going for an interview they are useless and a waste of time. I understand money is essential but not at the expense of your mental health. SHUT DOWN DUTCHIE'S.

Shopped here since they opened this location and thought the food was good, particularly the meat. But went the other week and the freezer section was full of what smelled like rotting spoiled meat that they were passing off as dog food for sale. I've never felt so ill while shopping before. If that was allowed to happen who knows what other violations they have going on! Took a look at their public health record after that and they've had numerous complaints including recently and a number of critical fails on the inspections. Cheap prices aren't worth getting sick over. Now to find out how they apparently treat the employees, I will never shop here again.

I am consistently impressed with the meat counter at Dutchies. The selection is fantastic, and the quality of the meat is top-notch. The staff behind the counter are always friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to assist. Whether I'm looking for a special cut or general advice on cooking, they go above and beyond. I highly recommend the meat department here – it's a cut above the rest!

Beautiful place, and so clean you could almost eat off of the floor! Affordable fresh goods as well as a deli and a butcher! Luv this place and will be back! The only thing that isn’t great is that they don’t have the reusable bags yet! But I’m sure they will soon!

BEWARE of these fraud people DUTCHIES!!! They never pay their employees salary on time. Says its biweekly, but will hold the payment for 3weeks, then they will provide you the paycheque for the first week which will bounces/return. They will make you work like a slave and give you 0 respect. They will never make you eligible for overtime, if you are close to 40/44 they will cut short your shift times not to get overtime pay. They sell meat and vegetables at very less rate, because it is not fresh. We bought chicken leg from there and made KFC, blood came out from chicken while frying. RUN from DUTCHIES

Scored a cart full of fresh veggies and fruits at nearly 50% less than my usual store! Amazing deals at this grocery spot. Definitely my new go-to for affordable produce. Best option for vegetarians!
