Personally have seen doctor Vu many times for many reasons, some of which had nothing to do with just his pharmacy but for medical advice and to ask questions, he never put me in the wrong path and has been a perfect example of what all medical professionals should strive for. All these allegations are either fake or references things that are years old and are a textbook example of how if you want a narrative to be right you’ll find something to use to make it so.

Vu is an exceptional pharmacist with the best customer service. My grandmother has an extensive health history with many medications and he is so organized and helpful when it comes to assisting her with her prescriptions. There is nobody I would rather trust! Thanks Vu!

Vu is the most professional pharmacist I have ever dealt with, not sure what the last few reviews are about, but it is not our Vu. He takes care of each one of his clients with the highest regard for safety and care. I would not hesitate to put your family in his care - he will treat you just like part of the family.

I have had nothing but a positive experience with Vu! He takes care to explain everything to me; how it works; why the dr prescribed it. He's even dropped a prescription to my home as I was pressed for time! My spouse has a unique illness that is treated with sometimes very unique drugs and Vu always sources them in a very timely way. I'm so fortunate to have him on our care team!

Vu is an amazing pharmacist. I live in Waterloo and still use Vu for all my medications. No one cares more than Vu. He goes out of his way to ensure everything is correct and on time. And btw this is not a “paid review”. We truly love and care for Vu

Vu at Deer Ridge Pharmacy has been caring for our family since he opened his business. He always goes above and beyond in making sure we receive our prescriptions in a timely manner and takes the time to explain what we can expect before, during and after taking any medication. He truly cares about our Deer Ridge community and we are lucky to have him so close by. I would highly recommend Vu and his team for all of your pharmaceutical needs!

Deer Ridge Pharmacy is a step above! Vu is a caring, compassionate, sincere healthcare professional. Very few people in this world are as positive as this gentleman. Not once I have been in to Deer Ridge Pharmacy that I didn't leave feeling a bit better about my day and that is all directly related to Vu.

Dear ridge pharmacy was a pleasant experience when we needed simple things like primary pharmaceutical packaged medication such as blister packs….
However, when it came to medication that had to be mixed according to our child’s BMI, it was completely miscalculated and he was given a 4 times higher dosage of amoxicillin as per his body weight. Our innocent little baby suffered severe belly cramping, vomiting and diarrhea with blood in it. Our 23 month old infant was given the wrong dosage of medication.
We were instructed to give a full 10 ML syringe med 3 times a day for 7 days… thank god me and my Husband figured out through a online calculator we stopped after 3 days as I felt something complete off from the prescribed antibiotic. Alhumdulilah, he is slowly recovering. Please save your child and don’t trust them with your baby and life.
Upon further research on the owner Vu Nguyen, through the members of pharmacist website.
I found that he was recently suspended for discipline from January 30th 2023, until May 2023.
Here are some of the readings I found.
At a hearing on September 30, 2022, a Panel of the Discipline Committee made findings of professional misconduct against Vu Nguyen, while engaged in the practice of pharmacy as Designated Manager, Director, owner and/or shareholder of Deer Ridge Pharmacy located in Kitchener, Ontario (the “Pharmacy”), in that he:
• Participated in the diversion and/or misappropriation of influenza vaccines to the Pharmacy;
• Administered influenza vaccinations for which there was a potential break in the cold chain and/or which may have been compromised;
• Stored and/or administered influenza vaccinations in an unsafe location or manner;
• Suggested and/or offered to falsify influenza vaccination records and/or patient records; and/or
• Practiced the profession while in a conflict of interest and/or participated in an arrangement that constitutes a conflict of interest.
In particular, the Panel found that the Registrant:
• Failed to maintain a standard of practice of the profession;
• Practiced the profession while in a conflict of interest and/or participated in an arrangement that constitutes a conflict of interest;
• Engaged in conduct or performed an act relevant to the practice of pharmacy that, having regard to all the circumstances, would reasonably be regarded by members as disgraceful, dishonourable and unprofessional.

Only use this pharmacy if you want your loved ones to be sent to emergency. This pharmacist has multiple complains agaisnt him at the College of Ontario Pharmacists. Vu is completely unprofessional and cannot even do his job.
They have one job, correctly formulate medicine and deliver to the patients, he almost sent my nephew to the hospital with an incorrect dosage of medicine.

Deer Ridge Pharmacy is a prime example of how a pharmacy should be. Clean, friendly, caring and quick. Vu is incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely values your health. The amount of care and love that Vu puts into his pharmacy cannot be matched.
