About The Goodway Thrift Store
The Goodway is a community collaboration started by Kingston businessman Phillip Brown of Brown’s Plus+ Inc. The Goodway aims to make a lasting impact on the Kingston community through enhanced community involvement, economic participation, and a reduction of the barriers to employment and education. The Goodway provides volunteers and employees with a chance to learn new skills and obtain work experience. Volunteer opportunities at The Goodway allow participants to gain valuable on-the-job training in retail operations, customer service, and merchandising while developing important employment skills such as teamwork, leadership, interpersonal communications, and self-advocacy skills.
