Don't let the name or location fool you, Crossroads Country store and tackle shop has the BEST Indian food I have ever tasted!
We stopped on our way through, just to grab a snack before dinner and we picked 4 Samosa and 2 Kachori. My only regret is not getting more Kachori.
Let's start with the Samosa--they are delightful packets of deliciousness ?
The filling, which is dense and bursting with flavour, is the size of a baseball, and it only gets better.
The PASTRY OMG, the PASTRY! ? it's light enough to flake as you take a bite, and just firm enough to not crack and split as you take more bites, and perfectly cooked with crisped enges to finish.
It takes about 5-6 bites to finish it, and that pastry never split open once, while staying delicate and thin.
Now the Kachori, I'll admit I thought it was something different, so I was excited to try this round crusted snack .
One bite and you're greeted with a nice filling that included fresh corn, vegetables and fragrant spices. It's the perfect savory snack, and the crust was even better than the samosa, it was light, crispy and held the filling without breaking.
There was an envious eye beside me because I took my time to savor the samosa, so I still had my Kachori left.
After we decided that the Kachori was the hands down winner, I shared half and we were making plans to go back and try the entrees! With 6 Kachori on the side ?
The food is made fresh to order, so calling in your order in advance is recommended, or wait 15 mins and check out the worms and tackle offered in the store ?

Omg best donair pizza ever!! But ask for extra sweet sauce on the side for dipping because it's not included. The samosas and butter chicken are also awesome!! Everything is homemade.
