We love this store. We have never had an issue with staff or products before until this week.
Our recent visit made me a little upset, although I do have some compassion and understanding of their reasoning. I was still highly bothered. Reasoning below. I do want to add that our cashier was lovely and kind as they usually are at the register.
That said, our experience in this visit to the store has tainted our view of the team.
A staff member was not secretly (loudly) whispering to other staff members and pointing at us, and then we were followed around the store for the duration of being in there. We spent almost 90 dollars on this trip alone and almost handed in our items and didn't purchase them because of feeling highly judged and uncomfortable.
I do understand they have a lot of thefts, im sure. I do acknowledge that my daughter, grandson, and I were in the store with a teenager who potentially fits their "profile." That said, my daughter and I were still very bothered by the blatent and rude demeanor of the way this situation and judgment were approached.
My daughter (a college student, with a child in tow) was so embarrassed and upset that she may not return.
Again, I am all for protecting your product, for doing your job, and even monitoring potential issues. What I am not for is being blatantly rude. It is rude to whisper and point in any situation and to do so in front of other customers, and in such a non discrete way was upsetting. The other customers moved away from us and kept a dostqnce after that which was highly embarassing especiwlly for my daughter who already suffers from social anxiety.
I think there needs to be theft/loss prevention/management training for the staff because we left very upset and bothered by the whole situation. There could/should have been a better way to handle their concerns.
I usually have them rated at a 5, but I have removed two stars due to the way their concerns were handled and how we felt in and leaving their store.

Usually very pricy and sometimes the scents can be overwhelming in the store, but the staff anre always friendly and there's usually something for everyone. Adorable holiday lines plus they keep the classic scents coming back from every season.

I always love going to bath and body works when Sue is working! She is always so friendly and takes the time to chat about what I'm looking for, and give excellent recommendations.
As for the products, I've been buying my candles there for many years, and I'm never disappointed! The body mists and foaming soaps are also very lovely.

Fifty billion smells assault the senses from moment to moment.Lol fun to go in with the wife, and sometimes there are good smelling things.The band team burns the absolute out of my hands though. Even after I washed it off. Red swollen and itchy. Probably too heavily perfumed for me.Staff is friendly and helpful. It is a frequent stop when we find ourselves in the mall.
