Amazing place and staff! Very helpful and friendly. The first place I would go for any repairs or electronics related questions.

The staff is helpful and friendly. They fixed my macbook pro, quick turnaround, they dealt with the warranty. I just had to come and pick it up. If you are shopping around for an Apple or other computer related services, definitely give them a call. They do have some products for sale but limited selection based on what I've seen on the shelves.

Excellent customer service! Friendly and professional! They repaired my iPhone covered by AppleCare+ (they were recommended by Apple when I called to ask about my options in Kingston). I wish I’d known about this place sooner! They actually repaired my iPhone over the Christmas holiday. I dropped it off the Friday before Christmas (minutes before they closed) so I was shocked when they called on Boxing Day to tell me it was fixed and ready to go. Pick up and payment was super easy! It was covered under my AppleCare+ so the cost was minimal and exactly as expected. This will be the only place I take my iPhones going forward. I also love the location; no downtown traffic and ample free parking in their own lot in the west end!

absolutely terrible experience. made me feel stupid. gave absolutely no instruction or information on what was happening with my device when they took it for "repair." gave me no indication of how long or how to tell me when it was ready. excessive charge. id advise everyone to avoid this place.

Got my newest Mac computer here. The staff was helpful and friendly. They could have charged me more for the adapters I needed but instead they found a more economical solution to the problem that provided a better solution at a better price. Will be going there for future purchases and repairs if ever needed. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

Not recommended.I booked time slot through Apple Support to drop-off a laptop for service, but on the day, I called a few hours before the appointed time to cancel. From the onset, the person on the other end was curt and condescending without apparent cause. I figured I was being considerate by calling in advance to cancel instead of just not showing up, but was told such a drop-off could be done any time regardless, and that, “… it’s not like it would get fixed right away, so…”. Others’ low reviews of this shop aren’t a surprise, and I’m pleased to have taken my business elsewhere. The first 5 seconds of experience with staff at Jump+ was enough to justify my change of plan, and was further reinforced by a frank disclosure of terms, high quality service, and respect for the customer. For what it’s worth, my perspectives are informed by the following factors:* Certificate — Excellence in Customer Service* 20+ years experience as a telecommunications technician* 25+ years experience performing (basic) installation or replacement of network interface cards, video cards, batteries, and internal drives on my own desktop and laptop computers; no hardware troubleshooting.

I've been going to this place off and on for the last 6 years and they are pretty good at what they do for their job and they do go over everything with you with your computers. I had an issue with my laptop and they told me they what they have done to it and because it's getting older they told me what I can replace it with or buy a new one and they are very helpful. I will definitely go back to them again.

Do not go to this company!! They will scam you out of money.Just to be clear, I have come across numerous complaints almost identical in nature to mine in relation to this specific location. And I have read at least one other post that reported this company to Apple. So they have now been reported and flagged by Apple directly, at least twice, and have many more 1-star reviews to back that up with. So I am confused as to when the 100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee, which they are so adamant about, actually goes into affect?Altair Electronics charges for services that Jump+ & Apple do not charge for when your machine is covered by Apple Care. I was not told about any charges that I might incur, such as charges for diagnostics; nor was I given an invoice when I dropped off my machine. An invoice is required by Apple, as I have checked with them directly. Upon pick-up, the man claimed he had told me of a charge to run diagnostics and that I had agreed to this, which is completely untrue. If he had actually told me, then I would not have left the machine at all, and taken it to Jump+ directly. I have dealt with Jump+ many times before and I have never paid a dollar for any sort of repair or diagnostic, and nor did I this time when I had to take the machine in to them to address the issue. Altair also claims that a tiny sign in the corner of the counter with small print is adequate to inform customers of their policies. They are trying to swindle money out of unsuspecting customers through deceiving practices and blatantly lying about it after the fact. The only reason I even went to this store was because it was approved by Apple when I spoke with Apple Care; it was near Christmas and they said I could get it in sooner with Altair. Well, I now know the reason why there is no wait time for repairs. They have similar reviews for exactly the same sort of practices and general attitudes toward their customers as I experienced. The problem with my machine was not fixed nor properly addressed; the repair needed was not what Altair claimed to be the issue. Altair wanted to charge me an extra $100 to reinstall the OS (a complete ripoff, as I've done that myself many times before), when all that was needed was an uninstall of one program. When I brought the machine home, I had to take it right back to Jump+ as I could no longer even log into my computer to access anything. I brought it home with more problems then when I took it in.Altair claims to have "100% customer satisfaction" yet they were completely unwilling to do anything in order to rectify the situation. When picking up my computer from Jump+ I told them about my experience with Altair and they said the company had engaged in fraudulent activity by charging for services without an invoice. Jump+ also informed me that the company is known to use inferior parts by selling "used parts" and claiming the condition to be much better than they actually are.I also looked at some of the products while I was waiting and they were very overpriced. For example, I just purchased a new 4TB hard drive that cost less than Altair's price for that exact make of drive in only 1TB.When I informed Apple about what had occurred they agreed to send me merchandise to cover the cost of what I was swindled out of. (They were not able to issue a refund as they had not charged me directly, however, I was able to sell the item to recoup my cost.)Clearly, this all shows that Altair was in the wrong. They have not been acting in accordance with the standards set for Apple accredited dealers. Altair was contacted by the BBB and they were still unwilling to accept any responsibility. I suppose sliming $50 out of a customer is worth bad reviews and complaints with the BBB.FYI - Apple has since flagged this dealer!! Do not take your Apple products here!!Buyer Beware of Altair Electronics.
