Hours: Killaloe Freshmart is the only grocery store in town, appearing as a little worn throwback to a previous decade, like the 1960s or 70s. Some find the inside needs major renovations, noting a scary hole in the floor and describing it as a dimly lit, dingy above-ground basement that would be a great location for a zombie apocalypse movie. Shelves can be very bare with a lack of selection, filled instead with lots of cheap plastic and random dollar store stuff. It is also considered super expensive with no great sales. However, it is also called a great small town store with a surprisingly good selection of products, including President's Choice merchandise, and is enough for all grocery needs for cottagers. The fresh produce is still pretty good, and it has a nice butcher/deli counter. The baked goods are fresh, baked daily, with specific praise for the Chelsea Buns. The staff are noted as pleasant and really pleasant. While the interior needs attention, the store remains tidy and has modern debit machines. It receives praise for its unique character, making customers feel they are living in a different century.
