My wife and I have been using Rekmans Automotive for almost ten years . Family owned and operated.Very honest . I received a quote once to do some maintenance. It was about $ 610.00They did the work and the bill was about$ 520.00. I asked why it was lower than quoted ? The parts had come less than they thought and the job was done more quickly . They passed all of that back onto me . They could have charged the $ 610.00 and I never would have known . I wanted to thank Jerry and Lorraine Rekmans for their hard work and honesty . They handle all 3 of our vehicles including my 2003 Jag . It’s a family business and they obviously take great pride in looking after their customers.
I would like to give an example of how honest they are.
Several years ago they quoted me in the range of $ 550.00 on work for my 2013 Ford Escape. The work was completed and I was handed a bill for about $ 440.00.
I asked the administrator why it was less than the quotes $ 550.00. ? The parts had come in for less and the work was completed more quickly than they had planned for. I have never forgotten this. Most garages, not all, but most, would have charged the customer the $ 550.00 and just stuck with the quote that I was expecting to pay .
I asked Gerry why he gave me the break and he said “ I want to sleep at night. I couldn’t live with myself if I was over charging
people “. They are totally reliable and gave us as life time customers .
