This Wal-Mart on Earl Grey is a joke. The pharmacy over the counter drugs are limited. Little variety. They haven't any refrigerated foods. Apparently, they are limited due to a Loblaws obligation. Store was too difficult to navigate, and areas not easily located. I asked where juice and Popsicles were located and was told 2 aisles over. There were shelf items. It wasn't until a customer and a 3rd employee advised of the Loblaws/ refrigeration sanctions.

Went in looking for common succulent plants only to find the "garden centre" was just a few decorative planters and a small selection of soils. Maybe it's more expansive during non-covid times but ending up being a waste of a trip today

Handy place to shop at reasonable prices. They have a great variety of items displayed neatly in a large area. They even have sales on their reasonable prices. We simply picked up a few snacks for later. Cashiers are well setup with many opened to make your exit with minimum waiting time. Staff is well trained courteous and efficient. Easy in quick out Perfect shopping

Wow! I'm the first one to review Walmart in Kanata? What's up with that?? Let's get the party started! As a Canadian, we are unfortunately running out of places to shop where we can do regular shopping, and still save some money. Woolworths, Kresge's and Zellers have all closed. Target came in and teased us for a bit - and then left! Thank goodness for Giant Tiger, and for Walmart. (Especially Giant Tiger as they are Canadian to begin with!) Although this outlet offers a limited but still fairly large selection of foods such as canned goods, bottled pop, bags of chips, and packages of candy (especially around the holidays), it's still not a "Supercentre" Walmart where they sell fresh food like veggies and meats and so on (there is one of those south of here, on Fernbank. We have sometimes shopped at that store for the regular run for groceries, but there are so many choices closer to home that we don't go there often.) However, we are frequently in the Kanata Centrum where this Walmart is, and it's convenient. This store does offer clothing for men, women and children, shoes, and accessories, as well as housewares. There are books and magazines too (even though they are virtually next door to Chapters). It's actually a fairly large store. This is a good place to pick up gift cards too - they usually have quite a large variety to choose from. There's a selection of electronics near the back, and this is one store that actually does sell some knitting supplies, although they have competition in this area (Michaels, and Yarn Forward). I shop here occasionally, and will probably be back.

Price is alright, not the cheapest in town. Not much of selection. Make sure to do a little price check before checking the merchandise out. The items on the shelves always mismatch the price tag below them. The cashiers are always friendly but not the floor staff who always carry stone faces. I saw a floor staff was shouting at the kids who were running in the store yesterday. I know it is wrong of running around in the store but there is no reason of shouting at 4, 5 years old kids. I can't wait Target opens in the fall so people living in North Kanata don't need to squeeze in this overcrowded and unpleasant store.
