Great work and very accommodating with hours. They allowed drop off and leave keys after the garage closes and also pick up after they are closed by paying the gas station attendant.

I live in the community and has been there for serval times, all good before until the last time car safety check: I made an appointment on Wednesday morning 8:00AM, and left the car there on Tuesday evening 1 day before. For the whole Wednesday day time, nobody from the shop update to me, call them 3 times, nobody answered the phone, and for the 4th call after 4:00p, a lady answered the phone and told me that my car could not be done on Wednesday. Come on, my appointment is on 8:00am, I doubt that the just missed my car in the list. The second day, they called me that the safety check failed, a control arm needs to be replaced, and sent me with a cost assessment: over 2000 bucks after tax. The price is so ridiculous for a sedan car control arm in my mind. I go to another autos referred by my colleague, just got the job done with 450 bucks (material plus labor).
This should be my last visit here, for the others, all I could say is good luck.

Excellent mechanics in the west end.
I had a problem in my car's windshield fluid nozzle. There was something blocking the nozzle. I scheduled an appointment and the mechanic fixed what he found.
Couple of days later, I found it was happening again. I called them to see if they could see me right now and have a look at it. They did and found something blocking the nozzle again.
The mechanic explained that he removed the restriction but possibly car might have something more that he missed. He replaced the joint for nozzle and fixed the problem.
The great thing about it is that he did not charge a single dollar second time since I was there for the same problem in couple of days. I think mechanic's name is Jaceon but I might be wrong.
These are very honest mechanics that you hear about but never find.

This was my second repair in less than a week. I wish they had asked me more questions about the problem with my car on my first visit. I brought it in the first time because one of belt had blown and all the warning lights had gone on and the damper pulley was wobbley. They fixed the pulley and the belt. I assume that all was good. But unfortunately the next time I took my car. Not even 50 km after I picked it up, again all the warning lights went on and this time I got stranded on a Sunday night with a blown alternator and had to wait an hour to get the car towed back to the garage.They were quick at looking at the car, and the second repair was done promptly. But I do feel that if someone would have called me to find out a little more about the trouble I was having with the car, the failing alternator would have been identified and it could have been repair on my first visit, rather than being stranded on a Sunday night and having to pay extra labour for working in the exact location the first repair had been done.

I cannot say enough about the excellent service I have received from Guilbault. Out of 5 stars, it’s a 10. I would recommend this garage to anyone. They are informative and courteous. They take the time to explain everything that needs to be done and why. I have been taking my cars to them since the 80’s. I recently had to get a new car and I couldn’t have done it without their valuable assistance. Once I found one, they did a pre-purchase inspection snd detailed what needed to be done to the car if I was too purchase it. Highly, highly recommend Guilbault,

Customer service at Guilbaults has gone downhill lately. They obviously do not want my patronage anymore.
Wednesday March 13 I brought my car in as I was hearing a slight noise from the front end. When I dropped the car off I was told that they would call when they found the source of the noise. I asked them to do an oil change while they had the car. I waited for a call all day and didn't get one. I got a text at 3:30 indicating my car was ready for pickup. I assumed the issue was something small like tighening a screw so they didn't call.
When I arrived to pick up my car I was told they only did the oil change. They couldn't hear a noise but found a list of possible issues (such as swaybar starting to crack and other issues). I asked why they didn't call me about these so I could get a quote and tell them what to fix. There was no clear answer. I asked for a quote, gave them my email address and they said I'd get it next day. I called them on the Friday looking for the quote and was told I'd get it that day. A week later and I'm still waiting.
I'm wary of driving my car until I get it fixed. So I'm now taking it elsewhere. It's a shame as Guilbaults has been a trusted garage in Glen Cairn for many years.
