I went into store today and purchased few items. After doing errands and shopping at other stores, I returned to this location (same location) to return a tension rod that I had bought. I was told that the package was torn so they would have to verify with manager. Once inspected by the "manager" who apparently was not the manager, i was told numerous times that they do not sell open packaging and the clerk at register was told to grab another rod to see packaging (as if that makes a difference). I explained that there was no way if I had opened the packaging, there was a way for me to get it back in the rest (and note- the hanging plastic clip on product was still in tact), I was continously called a liar by way of him repeating we don't sell open packaging. But you DID! He then told me it was my responsibility to inform them that the package was open when I bought it. A) How am i suppose to know that is your policy B) If it is your policy, why was i able to grab it off sales floor like that.I realize that Home Hardware= stores are individually owned, I will be talking to corporate about this experience as individual or not, you represent a brand. Business 101.I will be going in tomorrow when the real manager is on duty and returning all items I bought from this location and not to return.I will update on that experience, after today, don't have very high hopes. STAY CLEAR OF THIS LOCATION!!!

Horrible service in the paint department. I returned three times to get a simple can of paint mixed, because nobody seemed to know how to do it. The Irishman in the department had a tantrum when I gave him my feedback, "pretending" that his system shut down so that he couldn't mix my paint. I can't believe you pay people to annoy and alienate your customers for the sake of their own little power trips. I went straight to the Home Hardware at Gage and Fennel, and the service was prompt and professional. Will definitely become a regular customer.

Very friendly staff. Always ask if you need help when you get there and during your visit. Missed the sale by one day but the cashier still gave me the discount on my item which was very nice of her. Lots of good sales here.

They usually have what I am looking for and the customer customer service is great. They come up to you and actually want to help. This has been the case many times. One time, I was looking for a fan and I liked one but said "Does this have to be assembled?" She said that it did, but that they could do it for me. Within 15 minutes, I was walking out of the store with my assembled fan.

I am not telling you should treat customer as a king but atleast give consideration or have a welcoming attitude.everyone is working and you have only one job to do just be nice to the person who is shopping there. He maynot be expert at home hardware so atleast help them with a smiling face. In a retail industry its a key factor for everyone to visit the store again. Being a individual contractor i went to Homedepot alot but the attitude of staff is far far far far better than home hardware they were so helping in all area of shopping ,being a small store at least take care of your customers

absolutely terrible "customer service" if U get the nasty older blonde female manager...-she's curt, rude & has no time for customers !-other personnel are as helpful as they can be under this woman-just drive to one of the other excellent HomeHardware locations instead

What I like about this store is that it’s not gigantic. It has a real neighbourhood feeling. The staff is amazing. I went to get my screens repaired. Super affordable and the staff was just amazing. 5 stars

Needed a shower cartrige and store was closing in 5 minutes . I would not make it in time. . Gentlemen offered to leave it outside (free replacement). Great service . Will shop their next time.

I’ve have a bad day. Mom called kitchen faucet was leaking. I drove more than five hours from Ottawa to Hamilton to take care of that (tomorrow is Victoria Day). Ottawa was just hit with the a massive thunderstorm and I have no idea of the damage to the house. Dad had a stroke! Faucet is still leaking; walk into the Home Hardware on Mohawk Road. They’ve set me up. Faucet is fixed. Thank you guys.
