Back home the second hand store can be such a disappointment but Value Village always hits the right spot everytime. I try to avoid going cus i know I'll be walking out with something but everything I've bought has been of great quality and use so far.

Avoid this store at all cost .. so expensiveMassive store with a great collection of donated items. However, the pricing is so excessive and more than 100% doubled compated to other Value Village outlets. Example : CDs and Records are usually priced at 1.99$ in other stored and in this store, it was 3.99$ ?This is wrong and authorities must get involved. These are donated items afterall.

Absolutely love value village. Many have a thought process that it might have cheap stuff being second hand however I have found brand new things too in there. Not everything is second hand. Plus is cheap when it comes to money. Best place to go on budget and you can even donate your unused items and get discount. I almost have 70% value village items in my home and no one can tell they weren't bought new. Must go. Don't waste money unnecessarily if you can get it for way cheaper price. Also, staff is wonderful, helpful and quick.

It seems to be getting worse in prices and selections. I like the Ancaster one better now.

Overpriced, especially when considering their stock is donated

Value Village and Savers are absolute garbage. They sell junk at higher prices than walmart. Sold me a VCR that ate my tape and broke the cable input on my TV. What a waste of time and money. I will never be returning to ANY VV or Savers and I suggest you do the same. They no longer offer any value to the consumer, they are ripping people off.

Beware of this value village and their staff. We used to donate a lot to this store as we strongly believe in circular economy and supporting our community. However, yesterday, two supervisors (Doug and another thin Caucasian man with glasses) showed us that racism is well alive in Canada by racially profiling me and my mother. My mother wanted to return a couple of clothes she had bought last week, with the receipt and the tag still attached to the clothes (due to the lack of changing room, she sometimes buy items that she later find not fitting when she can try them at home). Doug and the other employee did acknowledge that the tag was still on the clothes and matching the receipt but refused to exchange the items as "it was not meeting their standard" and I quote here "do not have to provide us an explanation". Of course, it is easier to say that to people of color, especially when they are old. Shame on value village for that and shame on you Doug to happily target older people and refusing to explain policies and refusing to honor them.

Things are getting pricy due to inflation, but still could find some quality stuff with lower price, donate and ask for the coupon so you could save 20%
