About The Salvation Army - Hamilton Booth Centre
The Salvation Army - Hamilton Booth Centre is a men's homeless shelter, the largest in the city. It provides approximately 85 men with a bed and a place of their own for three months, with rules including a curfew. It costs nothing to stay there. The shelter also has overflow cots and mats for when beds are full, ensuring men are out of the cold. They provide three meals a day, which are very good tasting. The shelter also provides health care, housing resources, and food drop-ins, and its services can be accessed without being a resident. The staff are kind and understanding and have saved many lives. They are very admirable, helping people even if they are not clients. If the shelter is full, the staff accommodates by finding placements in other shelters. It is not perfect, but it is a warm place to stay with food to eat for people in need.

Thank God there are shelters to help people in need, with a warm place to stay and food to eat. It’s not perfect but no shelter is. Thank you Salvation Army and staff!
