You have to support this lovely locally owned shop! Not sure how we've missed this Locke Street gem before as it's been here since the 80's. Pure Home Couture is a stunning apothecary in an a second floor loft space on Locke. I was immediately in aww of the gorgeous high beamed ceilings and original yet well maintained worn wooden floors. The decor is giving Parisian vibes
with French armories, chandeliers, harvest tables, Marie busts and beautifully displayed row upon row of locally made candles, soaps, perfumes and salts. Everything is locally made. My favourite scent was Sea Salt and the Blood Orange.

Over the weekend, I reached out to Pure Home Couture Apothecary. I have suffered a recent loss, and because fragrance is so important to memory, I had asked if it would be possible to try a sample of their lemon verbena scent.
Steven emailed me back with nothing but compassionate and willingness. Today I received a box with a lemon verbena tea light to trial, but also a full size lemon verbena soap. Your generosity has warmed my heart.
I look forward to making a full size purchase, as well as coming in person into store to give my personal thanks.

The products from Pure are beautiful but I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners which made my last shopping experience really special. This place has this amazing old town vibe. The blend of scents that hits you when you walk in is so pleasant ?I get one of my favorite perfumes from here, the Vanilla Bourbon. But a friend comes here for a different one, lol I just have to figure out which one it is.Staff is friendly and informed!

Beautiful shop. Can never go wrong with a gift from here. Scented soaps and creams but not overpowering. Thank you for the discount on your anniversary, and the bonus treats in honor of Coronation!Maya was a gem: wrapped up my gifts beautifully!

I love this place. The candles are incredible. I’m not sure what kind of sorcery they use but the scents make me feel nostalgic. Sea salt and white lilac are my faves. They’re potent — but not overwhelming. Keep your wicks trimmed and watch for tunnelling. If you can manage that, their candles will last a long time.
The staff is always pleasant. They’ll keep you informed of any sales and will provide gift-wrapping at checkout. And sometimes you’ll get free samples and a classy matchbox.

This is a little oasis on Locke Street. I love getting gifts here. So many pretty scents like peony and lilac. I wish I could buy all the candles! They also support good causes. Definitely worth the visit up the stairs.
