I’ve been a customer at the Penguin Pick Up for over a year now and I always have the best experience! The staff are friendly, polite, and conscientious. They always ask me how my day has been to bring up my spirits. They are also very quick and efficient in retrieving my packages. The manager has such a positive, caring attitude and has resolved any issues I’ve had in the past and has answered any questions I have had. The young men carry out any heavy packages I’ve had to the parking lot, especially since being pregnant. There’s one staff member who consistently draws happy faces on all of my bags of parcels. They even know my footsteps as I’m coming around the corner. Furthermore, the staff have been very polite and respectful to my husband has also had a great experience. Overall, great customer service and awesome staff! Thanks for making my day. ?

An awful experience from start to finish. Our daughter who lives in student housing, had a text book delivered via purolater. No one was home at the time, package was taken to, penguin pick-up. For a Mac student living near university, having to get to Upper James to pick a package up, is far from convenient. Friday, January 26th she was able to get a friend to drive her to Penguin Pick-up. They arrived around 9:00am. The store was closed. She spoke with the male employee through the glass. He claimed because store was closed he could not give her package. They could not stick around until opening at 10:00am. This was her only opportunity to pick-up. She was flustered, but understood store was closed. Her and I chatted. Living 30 minutes from Hamilton, I offered to pick-up textbook and run down to her. The 2 employees, would not allow me to pick up package, my address did not match address on missed delivery slip from Purolator. I explained our daughter’s address would not match photo ID, the address on slip is her student housing, not her permanent address. They said she would have to call puraloter and request for it to be re-delivered. This was a risk, it might be delivered while no one was home. They refused to give me the package, which was a textbook for school. The other employee, who claimed she was the manager did say, if there was a bill with her name and student housing address on it, she could use that. I called our daughter and asked if she had anything with her name and student housing address. She sent me a screen shot of her lease. The 2 employees could hear my phone conversation with her. I had a screen shot of 2 pieces of photo ID, (our last names and address matched) screen shot of her lease, with her name on it and student housing address, and the purolator slip. They refused to give me the package. I reminded the male employee, he spoke with our daughter through the glass at 9:00am. He did confirm he spoke with her through the glass. With all of that, they continued to refuse to give me the package, they just kept digging in their heels and saying those are the rules. No flexibility or empathy to the situation. So, so frustrating. At one point the male employee said to me, he too was a child once and didn’t like rules either. So rude. I ended up having to go to McMaster, pick-up our daughter, drive back up to Penguin Pick-up, retrieve package and take her back to school. I completely understand the rules around having to have matching ID, and why they are in place. With what I presented, as far as ID and proof of our daughter living at the address on delivery slip, the male employee admitting, talking with our daughter through the glass, and them being able to hear our telephone conversation, you would think, they would be able to assess the situation and realize, I wasn’t there to pick up package and it never be seen again. Instead, they wanted to exert their authority. Awful, awful customer service and a complete waste of everyone’s time!

Unhelpful staff, not flexible at all. I hope I get my package successfully after all the hassle I went through. Associates give one side of information while another associate tells another story. Staff is not properly trained here. Management is even less helpful. What a disappointment and total nightmare trying to retrieve my package. Do not recommend.

review date: august 30, 2022customer service date: july 8, 2022i ended up having to use penguin pickup @ mountain plaza mall (PPMPM) to retrieve a missed delivery attempt from purolator.the PPMPM is located inside the mountain plaza mall at the corner of upper james and fennell.i didn't know who PPMPM was, so i backchecked their website. they have excellent business hours so that all shift workers can access the store - they are open 7 days a week and have weekday evening hours.the website also explains who penguin deals with (retail and e-tail companies) and shipping providers, in addition to what services PPMPM provides.grabbing my package was straightforward. there were 2 guys at the store - 1 guy asked for my id and proof of package order even after i literally described exactly what i was going to get, who it was from and the carrier.i can respect the security aspect with verifying who i am, as there are unscrupulous people out in society.once info was supplied, my package was given to me and i was good to go.bottom line: i would use (and recommend to others) PPMPM as a pick-up location in the event the shipping provider was unable to safely deliver a package to my house. ?

I've been to this Site several times & it's always been a smooth visit. I rarely have to wait & my items have always been ready to go. What I really like is that I get a notification from the Shipper that the delivery has been received by PenguinPickUp, followed by their own confirmation notification. Their location is easily accessible by multiple travel methods & their hours are flexible.

Used them as the pickup point for an online Ikea order. I wish I knew sooner that this existed! Cost $5 to have my oder dropped off here. Super convenient saving the drive to Burlington.

Seamless experience, the staff take great care in verifying the person at pickup as well as handling the purchased products. They provide carts when picking up, really helpful when there are large/heavy orders. Great customer service with care and integrity for the products. Keep up the amazing work!
