I'm going to edit this review to say that, while the below did happen as outlined, the owner responded very quickly. My parents items did arrive undamaged (yay!), they did get a fee reduction because of all that had happened (thank you), and a second crew was sent over (free of charge) to the retirement community to expedite the unloading of the truck before elevator privileges timed out. So, there was still a lot of stress involved, but the end experience was a net positive.
My parents were already stressed with moving to a retirement residence. At the appointed time for the move, the movers still hadn't shown up. 10 or so minutes after the appointed time, I called the office to see if perhaps we'd gotten the date wrong. After some fumbling around on the other end, I was finally told that no, we hadn't gotten the date wrong, but that "the guys" had gotten caught up because of a difficult move elsewhere. I was assured they would call when they were on their way. They didn't call. An hour and a half after the appointed time, they finally arrived. As I type this, they are working quickly and efficiently, but I have no real hope that they will meet the time requirement for the elevator on the other end of the move. I'm seriously not impressed, which is disappointing since every other review I've read is a good one. For this job, customer service was sorely lacking. I've yet to find out if a discount will be applied for delay in service and poor communication. We're also not entirely sure if things will arrive undamaged, that's how uninspired I am by this whole experience.

Look no further. This is the moving company you want. I was very impressed and pleased with how fast and organized these guys were. Dave, Eric and Dan, (I hope I have the names right).......I can't Thank You enough. I was pretty stressed out and they made me feel as if I didn't have to worry about a thing. They stacked and placed the boxes in my new place in a great organized manner. It made my unpacking that much easier. By the end of the move I felt like I'd known them for years. They were just the right kind of funny.....but not too funny. They take the job seriously and you can see it in their work. I mean it.....look no further!! These are careful trustworthy movers.

We used Mountaineer Movers moving from Vineland Ontario to Belle River, close to Windsor Ontario. We interviewed four movers from the Niagara Falls and St. Catharines area. We selected Mountaineer Movers, because they sounded realistically and presented a no frills approach. This was a two days operation. They were supposed to arrive at 8:00 AM, on Monday July 15, they arrived at 7:45 AM. Three guys were strong, organized, knowledgeable and very efficient. Three bedroom house with leather ottomans and recliners, with two beds taken apart, with big heavy fridge, with heavy solid wood furniture, with a big glass dinette table with heavy Italian pots, three bicycles, lawn mower and all garage junk plus about 100 boxes. They packed and left at 2:00 PM to arrive the following day at 9:00 AM to Belle River. Everything worked fine until the fridge was too big to fit through the door to the cool room. And the main guy AJ was very creative with great experience. He removed the freezer door, the fridge door and the door to the room and....bingo we have a fridge in the cool room. And most importantly, nothing was broken, nothing was damaged or missing. We were very appreciative. Hats off to AJ, Dan and Don.

Wow! I can't say enough good things about our experience with this moving company! Response was good. Showed up on time and worked their butts off getting it all done quickly! We had everything ready to go and properly packed which helped. Just a tip, remember these guys get offered Pizza for lunch 5 days a week. Offer them something different for a change! They deserve it!!

Joe and Chris helped us move our home from a townhouse to a bungalow. They arrived 15 minutes early, did a walk through and got to work right away. They were very professional and careful with our belongings. They’re not the average movers as they go beyond what is expected of them. For instance, we had a dresser that had a chewed up leg, plus a loose one. They tightened and swapped it around so the chewed up one was hidden in the back, without being asked and done so swiftly we did not even see it happen! They also happily worked around our 6 month olds nap schedule! Loaded up his crib last and was one of the first things that came off that truck when we got to our new home! Commenting on behalf of our baby, he loved how quietly Joe and Chris worked while he napped.

Mountaineer movers are the best movers I have ever used. We had a mix up with the elevator booking where it wasn’t available during our appointment time. They worked with us to reschedule to later in the day which saved us a lot of money. Their team was thorough and efficient. They took care of our belongings like they were their own. I highly recommend them!!

I used Mountaineer movers this week to move to a new house. I found th on time, professional and timely. The job also came in under budget. I would recommend them to anyone!

Mountaineer movers have assisted me with 2 moves (a small one and a large one). Both times the movers were courteous and efficient. Nothing was damaged in either move. The office staff were friendly and answered all my questions. I would use this team again!

We had Joe and David move yesterday and just want to let you know they did a fantastic job. We moved from one townhouse full of stairs to another one full of stairs and those guys just made it look easy.

As an ex employee for them it’s not that good especially if you are a newer younger employee. All old guys with no front teeth chain smoking in the van with the windows up on long drives telling you not to touch this and that once at the job despite you having tons of moving expierience they say they hire you full time and are needed saturdays and everyday then they ghost you as if there is no work. Would recommend Morrison movers or Dewitt if you are looking for a more professional moving company job
