Do not step foot in this place if you value your life and the life of your loved ones and anyone around your car after repair.
It started with me going into Right Way Auto that is next to them but they were closed. So saw that the shop next to it was open and discussed about the cost to change winter tires to summer on my vehicle.
Gave a good price but then asked Chris about a wheel bearing.
Made an appointment. Brought the car in for my appointment at 1pm on a Wednesday I believe.
Gave my info to Chris left, 5pm rolls up figured would head over thought they close around then. I recieve no phone calls so I think things are good. I walk in. My car arrives the mechanic pulls up front with my car I ask him everything is good he has a weird look on his face he says he had a hard time starting the car. Chris says roughly " oh we screwd up your battery," something to that effect? Tells me just drive it around it should charge." I mention it is a old battery, I probably do need to change it? I pay the bill as I am paying Chris says "Oh your CV boot is bad I packed it with grease."
I am thinking he packed it with grease? I ask what side was the CV boot damaged ? Chris answer was the left drivers side.
I am thinking the same side they worked on but whatever no big deal, stuff happens.
I get home it is still light out I put the car on a charger. It says 80 percent. I scratch my head and let it charge to 95 percent.
As it is getting dark I notice my cabin light is on.
They most certainly left that light on didn't know it became more apparent when it was getting dark and that was causing the battery drain not the battery itself.
Now looking at my invoice they didn't notate that issue they didn't call me before about the CV boot while they were working on the bearing.
Not only is this not on the invoice they didn't even put the odometer reading on the invoice. They notated ☆☆ WHEELS MUST BE RETORQUED WITHIN 200 KM WITH PROPER TORQUE SPECS**
But I didn't pay attention of my odometer reading when bringing it to them. Isnt this mechanics /customer service 101?
This detail is a indication of how they do their paper work. Wonder how they repaired vehicles as well? What details are overlooked?
Also when I was home I notice a miss call it is Mountain Tech Auto calling. I call them back no answer voice male not set up for voicemail? keep trying untill Chris answers. I say This is Joe you called me?
Chris responds "I thought I left a customer's keys in your car, but I found them so disregard"
Before he hangs up i ask him about an appointment he says make an appointment Wednesday.
THINKING COSTOMERS KEYS IN MY CAR?
After going over all that just happened I decide to make a appointment with
Another mechanic shop cause my senses are now tingling. I check under that wheel and it is caked in grease
I bring it to the another mechanic the following week, as I am driving I literally see the ABS light come on. I make it to the mechanic shop in shock literally shaking realizing if I was transporting my parents who are elderly and if I would have had a accident? All kinds of thoughts now running through my brain
The mechanic who now has the car calls me about an hour later, informed me that it was shooting grease everywhere and there was a spot on the CV boot it looks like it could have been hit by a hammer there is a indent like it was hit with something it was sharp
He also said the ABS light went on because It was caked in grease and the pads are contaminated with grease.
This would have been bad if I kept driving most certainly.
I asked to keep the brake pad and CV boot. It is now evidence for peace of my own mind of what happened with my car.
I am still utterly upset still!
Now I have to see if I will have to replace that ABS sensor?

I wish I could give more than 5 stars to Chris and the team at Mountain Auto Tech. The care and quality of work they put into my car was absolutely second to none. I had a very severe braking issue that was botched by multiple other shops and I figured I would need to buy another car as it was undrivable. Chris and the team completely fixed the braking system issue and it now drives like new. Cannot recommend them enough!
