BEWARE this gas station stole 4000 points from my pc optimum. I asked to redeem the $10 I had in my pc optimum, the guy said it only could redeem $1 and some change, and after I checked, 4000 points were gone.
Not coming back here anymore and I was a regular customer.

This gas station is in a prime, central location, making it an obvious choice for many commuters. However, its operations and facilities leave much to be desired. Here are the key issues:
1. Broken Pumps: There are only four pumps, and at least two are consistently out of order. There is no signage to indicate this, meaning customers have to waste time getting out of their car only to discover they can’t fill up. This is incredibly frustrating, especially in the winter.
2. Slow and Outdated Machines: The pumps that do work function at a glacial pace. Despite appearing to support tap-to-pay, they do not. Instead, customers must insert their card, enter their PIN, and endure the slow process—all in freezing conditions.
3. Neglected Appearance: For a gas station in such a central and accessible location, the lack of care is baffling. The exterior feels run-down, and the interior resembles an abandoned variety store rather than a functional and welcoming space.
When the station transitioned to Esso, many of us had high hopes for renovations and better service. Unfortunately, no such improvements have materialized. This is particularly disappointing given the heavy traffic in the area—many people pass through each morning, and a well-maintained, efficient gas station would be an invaluable asset to the community.
To the owners: Please invest in repairs and updates. Fix the pumps, update the payment system, and give the space the overhaul it so desperately needs. The neighborhood deserves a convenient, functional gas station, and you have the opportunity to deliver it. Don’t let this chance slip away.

The pumps are always ALWAYS broken. This place used to be full serve and refilled propane, now it's the worst gas experience in the city. FIX YOUR PUMPS!!

Great gas spot. Friendly cashier and all the pumps work. Can't ask for more. Also with only 4 pumps there's never a line because there isn't space for there to be one. 🙌🏻😜

If I’m able to give 0 star, I won’t give this gas station even 1 !!! It’s my first time here , and will be my last !!! Not only the pumps and the transaction system not working properly, the cashier was being racist !!! Maybe he didn’t hear me correctly at first, instead of asking me to say it again, he said “can you use your phone to translate your word to English ?” Seriously???!!!!! …… and on the receipt the cashier name is manager lol 🫤🫤🫤
Also something funny about the pump, Im 1000% sure that I selected gas 87 regular, but only 91 Premium was flashing before I started to pump….. what a scam place !!!

Pump appears to be broken as pumping rates are extremely slow and the gas comes out foamy. I also selected normal grade and only noticed 20 litres in the pump decided I hit premium gas instead. The attendant didn't seem concerned or willing to look into any of points I brought up. The card reader and pin pad are destroyed on the pump on the other side as well so perhaps avoid this gas station entirely if you have the option to.

What was once the cheapest gas station around is now the most expensive.

The most expensive gas station in Hamilton. The gas price is about c10 to c12 more then any where in Hamilton also the store is waaay to expensive ?? washer fluid here is at $7.99. If you can drive further down the road there is a poineer and another esso on king street with proper pricing for everything. Avoid these greedy people by not spending your money there until they realize that their pricing is way off anywhere else!

Holding off on final opinion, as will be open shortly. The location is prime - formerly a differently-branded gas station, and being made over by Esso. Perfect for commuters who discover they are - whoops! - low on gas, being just barely outside the core. Esso is also adding a Convenience Store, which is always helpful. Going by other Esso locations, I expect good things and only hope they can keep up with cleaning, an issue with some heavily used locations.
