Store said it opened at 9:30. We arrived at 9:50 but the doors were locked (this is a Saturday before Christmas). The lady inside could see us waiting but continued to do stuff on the computer. After knocking another woman finally came and opened the door—no apology or explanation.

Went to the Etobicoke location. Sales staff ignored me in an almost empty store. My wife had to go to the cash register to get an employee to help get a size shoe for me. I myself also work in the retail industry and would never ignore a customer like that. I can see why the store was empty of customers. Won’t be back, disappointed it use to be a great place to shop. Guys Customers are your reason you get a paycheque. If I get a customer in my store I’m on them quick and friendly. Repeat business is important.

The store was crammed with people. Self service for the most part. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I walked into the store before closing and this big fat white woman didn't even greet us. Gave us dirty looks. I continued to look for what I needed which were three items. I asked a sales person to help me which they did. I bought one item. While this boy was helping me with this sale- that big fat white woman rudely said "just so you know, we're closed." And refused to sell the other two items. That is extremely unprofessional. Causing the store owner to loose money. Because they were 3 expensive items. That person is not FIT to work in that shoe store. She has to go. She is not a good representation of the store. Her face is always sower. She also took the person who was helping me sale. Which is so unethical.

Couldn’t believe the lack of customer service I received from this store today! We walked in, weren’t greeted and both employees had their heads down on their cell phones. One female was actually sitting on the cash counter on her phone - when we asked them to get a size they both looked at eachother, went back to their phones and then the female decided to hop down from the counter and put her phone away to help us. The look on her face said “these people are so incredibly inconvenient & I don’t want to help them”.For the record, I am a store manager in retail, and would NEVER allow my team to treat my customers like this! Truly disgusted!

Why is asking to get shoes to try for size seems to be a bother to staff? Is that not what you are there for, otherwise put in a vending machine?

The sales associate named Nathan was so helpful! He really helped me out and looked for the shoes i needed for Monday! I would definitely come back for the customer service and they have a pretty goos selection of Birkenstocks.

Worst Store to deal with. Long story short, my wife bought a pair of sketchers shoes and after just a couple of times wearing ( within a month) the shoe thread started to come off. She sent an email to softmoc customer service who referred her to the store to get it checked. Without even looking at the shoes we were told that they wont return coz she wore them. We showed them the email which states their warranty (1 year) but the manager (lois Sanches) just didnt want to see the email or wanted to have a conversation with us face to face. He sent one of his employees to deal with us n when we insisted to speak to him face to face, we heard him saying to call the security. Considering there was no yelling at anyone and no false language used, we were called upon a security for just having a conversation. Like really!! Don't care about the shoes anymore but why even hire a staff who cant deal with customers n that too a store manager who hiding behind the front line staff. Head office really need to read customers review for this store consider making some changes.
