This is the first time I’ve gone into a Sportcheck without being offered assistance. Of course, when I asked, the associate did check the sizes on her zebra phone but the conversation ended there. She was standing by the wall, available to be approached, but didn’t ask any questions or greet anyone until her friends showed up. She was very quick to talk to them.
There were also no price tags.. maybe it’s supposed to be like that? But it would have been nice to know the price of the shoes I was looking at. Regardless, I picked a pair that I think will work for me, and went to the checkout where there were four employees and no customers. It took a good moment (not overly long) to be acknowledged. The cashier told me the price and I ended up making the purchase but I’m just surprised at the lack of sales initiative I experienced today. I saw other reviews where people were really happy with the knowledge and service they received from the employees. This must have been an off day.

Jeff really knows bikes. I had a warped rim from a mountain bike I purchased at Sport Chek. Jeff took care of it with a professional and service minded attitude. Thanks Jeff.

Bought my son a $600 pair of skates. Size didn't work, so I bought the correct size from Sport Chek online. In store would not return the first set - never used, because it has passed the 30 day return period by two days. Offered me a $600 store credit, even though I'd purchased the exact same size from the same company and needed the refund. Very disappointing. Will not shop at any triangle stores after this experience.

Salesperson Adam was really helpful. I was looking for hiking boots but am new to the activity. He was knowledgeable without making me feel like he was leading me to the most expensive boots. I purchased boots that were great quality, on sale and with the right treads I need to handle icy conditions.

Decent selection in the store. Average prices for a Sport Chek. The employees were helpful and grabbed shoes for me that were my size from the back. There's a lot of selection here. I bought a pair of Jordan's and a pair of Timberland's from here in a short amount of time and both were pretty expensive. But it's not the stores fault.
