We visited simply wonderful today to buy tennis balls to give to dogs in the community. We were greeted by nice staff and found everything we need for a cheap price. A very cute store and welcoming for any kids coming in and fun to look around. Lots of options of toys and candy if anyone is looking for a sweet treat. We suggest looking there first if looking for toys because we had a great experience in this local business. We also got colouring books for a cheap price to again help out the community.

Your friendly neighbourhood toy-store located in downtown Guelph, go visit!
I've purchased many gifts at Simply Wonderful for my step-sons when they were much younger and now back at it again for my daughter as well grabbing last minute party gifts for other children and Simply' always provided.
The store has a wide selection of toys and "gizmos" such as stuffies/plushies, costumes, dolls/figures, vehicles, boardgames, puzzles, stickers, books and STEM kits & toys just about everything that's not too outlandish for babies up to adults.
The staff has always been friendly to me and willing to answer questions or assist in store if I needed help finding a particular item and it's worth joining their newsletter/subscription on their website for updates on promotions.
I like that they offer to wrap items for you on the spot useful if it's a gift and I've agreed a few times as my wrap game is... atrocious.
Be sure Simply Wonderful is on your to-visit list if you're local or passing through, give it a browse and hopefully you'll come across something worth buying.

Simply Wonderful Toys and Gizmos is exactly that—simply wonderful! From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the kindest staff who made me feel instantly welcome. They were so attentive, friendly, and genuinely enthusiastic about the toys they carry. It’s clear they love creating a fun and positive experience for everyone who walks through the door.
Whether you’re looking for something educational, nostalgic, or just plain fun, this place has it all. I thoroughly enjoyed browsing through their well-organized shelves and discovering so many interesting items. It’s the perfect spot to get lost in the magic of play!

Yesterday I witnessed a male store clerk (manager maybe) chase an older woman outside this store, all the way to the parking lot, accusing her of stealing a $10 plastic horse. She insisted she put the horse back on the shelf. He wouldn't leave her alone. The outside security guard really didn't want to get involved, but the store clerk insisted the guard follow the woman to her car and photograph her license plate. People were starting to stare. He was extremely loud, and his behaviour was way over the top. I politely asked him to leave her alone. He ignored me. The woman was able to drive away, visibly shaken. The clerk went back in the store and called police. He wanted the police to track this woman down, by her plate number. I'm guessing police told him they had better things to do. After I did some shopping in another store, he saw me, and triumphantly said "I've got the horse." The woman came back and said it had fallen in her bag, and she gave it back to him. He could have just let her keep the toy, as a gesture of good faith; but he was gleeful, in shaming an older woman in public. All this for a $10 plastic horse. I say shame on him.

Best place ever. This store is highly recommended for collectors that live in Guelph or that visit Guelph as that store has Majorette Diecasts that automotive enthusiasts love so much. I also saw a Lego Transformers Bumblebee there. And Hot Wheels Premium 1/43's. I give my ratings for this best local toy shop. 5/5.

As an adult collector I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and politeness of the staff. They have the widest selection of calico critters I’ve been in Guelph and great prices. The cashier was very helpful. I will be a returning customer.

This is a great toy store. There were serval different type of toys and a lot of selection. The store was not very busy so it was easy to take our time to look at all the toys. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful when helping us. I would highly recommend this toy store.
