Dropped a pair of skates off on a Friday to get sharpened (radius) and an ankle bone area punched on the skate, they said they needed a few days - no issue with that but when I called back on Monday to see if they were ok to be picked up for Tuesday guy said yes. Went in on Tuesday and neither was done and the people there had no idea what I was talking about. When I told them I needed them for a game so I had to take them they told me where they were and didn’t even get them for me - to be clear 3 people sitting around and no one else in the store so not exactly busy with other stuff… just a very poor first experience and there’s enough better options in Guelph to avoid this place.

I went into Hometown Sports thinking my trapper needed to be re-laced. Turns out it was a quick fix and the boys had me on my way in about 10-minutes. They refused my offer to compensate them for their time and help. I really appreciated the gesture and their help.

I ordered the shirt for my son from Taylor Evan from March 2022 and I didn't receive until now November, 2022. I called them 2 times and asked to send to my son's school and it is still at the store. Today I called the man worked there told me they sent me the email to approve the name on it but actually I didn't receive any email. I asked him forward the email but he said he can't access the system. After 8 months he asked me to pay $8 for printing the name on the shirt that I haven't heard from the last 2 calls for them. So disappointed.

Amazing store!•Walked in an hour before closing- friendly and helpful staff, was in and out in less than 10 minutes!•The staff truly seem to enjoy working there (all happy and supportive of one another.•Great pricing and stock of items.•Clean snd organized.Definitely will be returning for future purchases!

Hit a little hiccup with a order we placed, and mistakes happen. They didn't take a sorry there is nothing we can do about it attitude and went above and beyond to make it right. This is the kind of service you will never get from a box store. Shop Local its so worth it.

I wanted to speak specifically about their lacrosse selection. I was in the city and saw they had lacrosse equipment. I was very surprised at their selection of heads, helmets, shoes/cleats, etc. It was much better than the gear you would see at a big box sports store. I thought the prices were fair considering they had a lot of top brands in their store.
