“I've been shopping at Brick Shack almost since Jamie opened the store (at the old location down the street). This is an AMAZING brick and mortar LEGO store.I go almost exclusively to dig around in the "Brick Bar". Originally 3 very large bins, (piled sometimes a foot or more deep) with loose, bulk LEGO pieces from every era and theme imaginable. Now, its been expanded to 6 bins and they hold pretty much any part you could hope for. The Brick Bar easily handles 6-10 people browsing at the same time, searching for parts. I've never had a visit where I haven't discovered a part I've never encountered before (or a hard to find, valuable rarity). Jamie cleverly recycles the LEGO cups previously used for Pick-a-Brick in official LEGO stores. The cups, packed to the brim, sell for $10 each or 2 for $15. A GREAT price for LEGO you're able to curate yourself from a vast selection.Jamie always tries to stock a wide variety of new and used LEGO sets, and has even been designing and selling his own MOC sets (such as a fully build minifig scale Tim Horton's restaurant). He offers a rotating selection of minifigures in many themes, and promotes when new stock will be put out using his social media pages. Small bags of minifigure parts and accessories are available as are other collections like windows, decorative elements etc.The store is cool from a historical perspective (it's in a 19th century firehall/jail) and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. There's almost always a great sense of comradery between the LEGO fans in the store and many a fun conversation has been struck whilst digging through the loose parts.Conveniently located only a couple of minutes off of the QEW, about 15-20 minutes from Hamilton, The Brick Shack in Grimsby is a must visit for all Southern Ontario LEGO fans and builders.The ONLY downside is the limited parking immediately around the store, but there's an enormous Municipal parking lot behind the Giant Tiger store down the block. Also, downtown Grimsby is a quaint historical gem, and there's lots of other stores and restaurants you could visit to make a day trip of it.”
