“Stopped in after driving by here many times. I was not disappointed. Had the chicken burrito was to die for. Had the Argentinian empanada which was absolutely delicious. I figured they made everything as you ordered but turns out it's made in advance but still very very delicious. I will definitely return here to fulfill my Latin food cravings.”
“A nice grocery store if you are looking for Dutch foods as well as other European and South African foods. Great selection of licorices! Many different tulip bulbs to buy here as well.”

344 Bell St S, Ottawa“Can’t say enough good things about this store.
There are no grocery stores in walking distance of this neighbourhood. Thankfully, Abbas Grocery keeps its shelves stocked with all the basics, as well as fresh produce and a number of other important household items. It’s also very affordable (in a time where major grocery stores jack up their prices at will) and the staff are all wonderful. Every one of them, owner included, are friendly and helpful.
Some weeks, I’m in this store almost every day, and that doesn’t bother me at all. Happy to support this business and can safely say living in this neighbourhood would be much more difficult without it.”
“We are new to this Farm Boy but having used others, I knew that I could trust the quality of food and the other items, I also enjoyed the fact that I could pick up ready to eat food or ask them to prepare stir fry or something else.”
“Don't let the outside fool you, this is a very well stocked and maintained grocery with a wonderful neighbourhood feel. The staff is helpful, the produce is excellent quality and price and they have a wide variety of staples as well as some fantastic more exotic selections. They have a solid deli and frozen section with a strong amount of vegetarian and vegan options and a great non alcoholic drink section. All in all worth a stop when you need groceries and want to support local business.”
“When I first started going there, I would buy chocolate and other one of a kind snacks/drinks you can't find elsewhere. I slowly started buying some merguez, frozen gyro slices, frozen store-made hamburgers. All quality. We love their name-brand chocolate milk, nut varieties. The staff is generous and welcoming. The reason I'm here today is to say both my son and I tried a new product they carry. ZWEET GUMMIES, ZOO ANIMALS. We both highly recommend them!!! I would say run to the store and get some before they have none left. Highly addictive.”
“got an insanely huge haul of (close to expired or bruised) produce from Too Good To Go for 9$ - extremely generous!!! when i went in, the place was tidy and organized and the worker who helped me with my order was very kind and patient with me :)”
“My best place to go buy halal chicken in Ottawa it’s this place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and the owner family the husband and wife and his brother are my friends very polite and respectful. This shop is clean me and my brother family we know this place since 2005. I’m Hisham ?✋?the Yemeni Canadian guy ———-”

2515 Bank St, Ottawa“This store is NO LONGER 24 HRS. They make pizza in the deli that is 13$ for a really large two topping made to order pie. They also sell slices for $3.99. I quite enjoy it! There is also a worker named Keith that is literally the loveliest human being on the planet.”
“Small Caribbean store with very friendly chatty owner (Captain Sunshine ). I wish the selection of fresh fruits and fresher vegetables were available but I know sourcing it can be hard unless you arein Toronto. Did buy a nice Dutch pot and some Jamaican sweet treats. Will be back here again for sure”

5669 Cabin Rd, Osgoode“It is awesome to have this store in Osgoode and we try to stop in here a couple of times a week to pick up a few items. They have a great selection of groceries and there is an LCBO in the back. Archie is always incredibly friendly and willing to help you find something. I was looking for a toothbrush a few days ago and I went up and down the isle at least 3 times without success. Archie was so nice and walked me right over to where they were, apparently my vision was bad that day.Of course another big chain store might have something a little cheaper but it's at least 15 minutes away. If you need something last minute this store most likely has it. They often have good deals on meat if you aren't picky about what you want for dinner tonight.”

754 Bank St, Ottawa“I was browsing the internet and I usually don't write reviews, but I saw this one and I'm really sorry for some people who leave comments unfairly and maliciously, especially about a store that is incredibly popular in the Glebe area, offers fresh products with reasonable prices (are Whole Foods prices cheaper than Metro's???). The staff is also exceptionally kind and beloved, always helpful and responsible. Especially the person that someone mentioned (Armin), who always helps me with packaging. I will never forget the day I felt ill in the store and how he assisted me!”
“At the Greenland International Grocery you will find products that are not sold in a regular canadian grocery store. They have a good selection of Caribbean, African, Asian and Middle Eastern products. Last time that I visited them I found a great selection of mangoes .”

2430 Bank St, Ottawa“Was there for all of 30 seconds but the owner lady (I assumed) acknowledged us right away upon entering…. This is not usually common practice in this type of store…IYKYK…. Also she was very very helpful. It seems to carry a lot of exotic stuff but we were hoping to find a specific ingredient and brand and sadly it wasn’t there but many other similar items in different brands were available.”

1160 Beaverwood Rd, Manotick“Good grocery store. Easy to navigate layout with all items being logically located and easy to find. The produce was all fresh and visually appealing, and the bakery had some freshly made pastries out. My only qualm is that they don’t offer any discounts on soon to expire goods. If I’ve got a party tonight or tomorrow, it’d be nice to have some muffins or cookies that you were going to throw away the day three days before they even expire. Also label your discounts and deals better. The new price labels are terrible because they’re monochrome. How am I supposed to know it’s a deal if it’s not in big red font?”

2210 Bank St, Ottawa“Awesome store, except for increasing prices on many products. But still find a lot of in-store deals. And they are always well stocked on sale items advertised in flyers. And a very well kept store.”

1670 Heron Rd, Ottawa“I mainly buy pantry items, I know the prices are always fair. Vegetables fruits is hit and miss,.what I mean you have to check. Dairy is also always at a fair price .”
“This place has the most extensive selection of Middle Eastern bread that I've seen at any store in Ottawa. If you enjoy Middle Eastern or Mediterranean food, this is essentially a one-stop shop for your grocery needs. Some items are more affordable than other places, while some are pricier, but the overall variety balances it out. This is the place to buy unsweetened, non-oily, authentic Middle Eastern bread. The lavash and pita bread here taste like they were baked using only wheat, water, yeast and salt as god intented it.”

3310 McCarthy Rd, Ottawa“This used to be my old neighborhood A&P back in the day, so when I stumbled upon a Metro I wasn't sure what to expect. I was not disappointed at all. This is a clean well kept, well stocked store. We were able to find all the things we were looking for. There is lots of variety and options available. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. There was plenty of parking available and easily accessible for those with mobility issues. There were plenty of carts to use in various sizes and all appealed clean and in good repair. We were especially pleased with some baked cheese bread from their bakery. No long lineups and I will happily be going back to this store!”
“Finally we received our deli meat sliced and packaged the way it should be. It was sliced thin and presented in layers separated with paper. There is nothing more unappetizing than sliced meat thrown in a bag. Thank you to deli gal who said she insists that staff present it this way. Kudos to her!”

1910 St. Laurent Blvd, Ottawa“The best customer service! Do you ever go to 4 different locations looking for that one item that no one cares to go and look for? Finally after searching for my organic tortilla wraps I found them! This lovely young gentlemen in the bakery section wasn’t able to find them so he went and got his manager (whose name was Mark) and he helped us look all over the store! They had been moved and he wasted no time helping us look. He was so kind and caring and even made us laugh! This experience makes me love coming to this location. If this is Mark’s boss reading this I hope you know that those two employees are wonderful!”

2681 Alta Vista Dr, Ottawa“I really like this grocery store because it’s decently sized but not too big to the point where it’s overwhelming. It has everything you could want but it’s also easy to go in and find something specific quickly. It is a little dated inside but it’s not really a big deal because everything seems clean. I haven’t had too many interactions with workers but the ones I had they were polite and helpful”
“Ordered cupcakes for an event through the bakery. Wonderful staff great customer service. Received several compliments on how beautiful they looked and how tasty they were. Yum yum!!”
