We were looking for a cedar tree, found on Rona+ Gloucester 16 trees in stock. Called to customer service centre to confirm that they have trees in stock, manger confirmed.
We get there from Stittsville-Kanata, and there’s no trees available in stock.
Worker was trying to find it everywhere, but no luck.
Next day they cleaned advertisement about the trees.

Hardware manager was too lazy to help me.
This is why people shop on Amazon.

Great experience. I needed a bunch of supplies but most importantly I needed a piece of plywood cut down to fit in my car. They did it perfectly, took time to understand what I wanted, and were super friendly. Thank you!

Please train your staff to know what they are selling.
Staff members are all congregated at the customer service centre, talking, while customers are out on the floor looking for a representative. I worked enough in retail to know this is not the way it’s supposed to be.
Inventory items show as available online, but nowhere to be found in person. Staff prefers to send you to another location or to buy “online”.
Home Depot is across the street, go there and don’t waste your time here.

Online: ''sure we have 4 of those''. In the store: ''HAHAHA we don't have any''.

Great store, less great employees ?

Inventory online says items are available (9) and store clerks can’t find them and says there are none. Unfortunately this isn’t uncommon for this store.

Shop with you all the time. Very happy with everything. Last 2 trips through the lumber yard though resulted in multiple pieces of 2x4x8 being 96.33 inches long or 96.5". This has become a small problem when building my 8 foot long shelves as the plywood won't sit on top properly. Not a huge deal to be honest, but just wanted to bring awareness as I don't want to have to assume that my pieces aren't exactly 8'.
Thanks everyone :)

Prices are horrible compared to other stores. Service was also less than expected, won't be back to this location.

Tiffany M. in the appliance department is a literal godsend. Everyone else I dealt with this at this location is beyond incompetent and I would not recommend anyone shop here.

I ordered a washer & dryer from Rona on Jun 6th and had a frustrating, tumultuous experience. I compared many different companies and brands, being diligent about my options and ended up selecting Rona’s GE washer & dryer. I placed my order Jun 6th with a delivery date of Jun 20th. Everything on their website indicated installation would occur with delivery so long as I bought the right accessories.
I was supposed to receive a text the day before (Jun 19th) confirming my delivery time window. I didn’t for most of the day so I called Rona to confirm it was still happening, since it was nearing EOBD. I didn’t know which Rona location my appliances were delivered from (this info is not mentioned in any of their emails or your online account) so I went to their general website looking for a number to call. Their chat box employee gave me a phone number. The employee I called told me there was no installation attached to my order and I’d have to book it then. She claimed there would have been a pop-up for me to select to include installation. She charged me over $300 for this installation. I asked her for an email address I could use to talk to someone about my situation, since she checked the website and verified it didn’t have a check box to order installation – so I wasn’t at fault.
I used this email and described my situation. The responder (Michel) told me that she had made an error and perhaps not known the policies. My order DID include installation. Michel refunded my $300 and I finally got a text after 4pm about my delivery window. When the delivery team arrived on Jun 20, they said they couldn’t complete installation because I needed to buy a specific part. Knowing nothing about appliances, I went to Rona in person that day and showed employees the screenshot hoping they’d know what I needed to buy. The first employee gave me the wrong product; it wasn’t until I’d already purchased it that someone else noticed. So I had to return it and buy a different product. I asked customer service to set me up a new appt for someone to come back and finish installation, and they told me they scheduled it for Saturday June 22.
I didn’t get a text a day in advance, but I didn’t know if something was wrong because for all I knew a service appointment might be different than a delivery. So on Sat I called Rona Gloucester. I would’ve gone in person again, but it is a 45-60min trip each way. Customer service had me on hold for ~30min total and told me they had scheduled an appointment for Mon, Jun 24. They did not tell me why the appointment scheduled for Jun 22 didn’t occur. On Sun Jun 23, I did not get a text confirming my appointment window so I called Rona again and this time they told me my appt was scheduled for Tues Jun 25. Again no explanation for why I was given the wrong date.
While these waits are not the worst, I am extremely frustrated at this point and have no trust my next appointment will even take place, let alone go smoothly. I placed my order weeks ago, was mistakenly charged >$300, had the delivery team fail to complete installation, had to purchase more products including a wrong one, had a scheduled appointment fail to occur, then been given the wrong make-up date. All of the many employees I’ve interacted with have been courteous, but the sheer miscommunication has been anxiety-provoking and exhausting. I am a new homeowner and not a technician, I know nothing about appliances and very little about delivery and installation processes, so this has been completely out of my expertise and even more overwhelming because of that. I keep getting delayed and it has been so stressful when all I really want is to be able to do laundry again in my home. I can only hope Rona increases transparency and communication when it comes to installation of appliances. UPDATE: My appt. did happen today and my appliances now work, thankfully. Though the team said they would be here at 11:05am and they were an hour late.
