This store has taken a downward turn . From staff ( new employees )to store layout . I wont be bothering to return after many years .To many other options for shopping . From second rate produce to new staff ,not suitable to deal with the public . Check prices not any cheaper than anyother store .

Comparable to the prices at No Frills , GT has a great brand of quality clothing for plus sizes ladies at an amazing price! Food prices are lowest in your town right here at Giant Tiger! Giant Tiger prices are so low that it's its better to leave your value village behind forever & buy NEW instead here!!!!

Something has happened to this store recently. The staff are not as engaging as they were and there are less. They don't seem at all happy now. The one (sometimes 2) cashes with humans usually have a line, so you have to use the self checkouts (I HATE them) if you want to be out before closing. If you want smokes or lotto or pay by cash, you're stuck with a wait often.

Compared to the Walkley location (and others across Southern Ontario) this GT is awful. The inventory is scarce and looks like overstock trash they can't get rid of anywhere else. Drive the extra 3km to Walkley and it's got amazing new stock (it's also head office). I had 2 nightstands to return, I wanted them in black, the package said they were black but when I got home both were white. The woman working called the manager since I bought them when passing through Embrun and they demanded I drive back to Embrun to return them. This was my first time having issues returning something to a GT. After I demanded the # for head office they finally gave in and accepted them but the woman (a middle aged woman with an Irish accent) was SO EXTREMELY RUDE the entire time. I had my receipt and everything and it was a GT mistake but she treated me as if I did this on purpose just to inconvenience her. She even made a comment about how she was too busy to deal with this because she had to monitor the self checkouts, when only 1 was being used at the time!

For whoever is thinking to work there i do not recommend at all, most workers are visibly upset and are being mistreated and horrible service. Manager can be seen grumpy at all times. Horrible place to be at.

This is probably one of the worst stores I've ever gone to, the manager has a disgusting attitude so do the staff. I definitely do not recommend if only I could give it 0 stars I would do it right away.

Very very bad customer service and the worst place ever! Don’t recommend it at all, the managers are sick. Every single person there is bad and sick as well. Not buying from this disgusting place anymore.
