I'm not sure why this place is getting such a bad wrap. My experience from tire purchase to installation was flawless. Great customer service at the desk and friendly garagist who interacted with me.

The tire centre at Costco Gloucester in Ottawa seems poorly managed and some of the personnel could use more training. There is little respect for the customer, their time or their vehicles. First there’s the wait to book service, then the wait to check in, any of which could take from 20 to 60+ minutes. Then you wait again to pickup your keys all for what is substandard vehicle service.With my last service there for two vehicles they slopped oil all over the engine compartments, to the point where it ended up dripping on the driveway. Oil was also spilled and smeared on the hood, down all sides of the front of the vehicle and in several places of the interior including the centre armrest, door armrest and panel as well as other touch points. These weren’t just light smears either, but full on liquid oil! This mess came to my attention when I sat in the car and felt oil on my elbow from the armrest. There was so much of it everywhere it actually looked intentional.I attempted to discuss at the service counter but was told to line up. After already being there for 3.5+ hours I left with the intention to call but as noted elsewhere in these reviews, good luck with that.The thing is, any quick lube or dealer will provide vastly superior service, booking and check-in processes, with greater respect and for basically the same cost. Plus, they generally include in that cost other minor services like fluid checks and hinge lubrications, none of which are a consideration at Costco.That last service was my last auto service of any kind ever at any Costco and at this point I’m questioning whether to continue with membership at all.

Bought new tires and tpms sensors didn’t work after install. They don’t answer their phone and they are careless.

This is certainly a nice Costco but it is way too busy!!! You have to wait and drive around and around trying to find a parking spot. I took my car in to have winter tires removed and seasonal tire put back on. When I went to tire service desk to pick up my car I asked where my car was parked. They said they did not know...what!! I walked outside to the tire bay and asked the guys working inside where the heck my car was. They said they had no idea. They told me to press my car alarm button on my keychain and listen to where it is. Well, maybe if your not a senior who is hard of hearing this might work. I had to have one of the workers come outside to help me locate my car. Funny, they parked my car off the Costco parking lot. It was parked on the far side of Shoppers Drug Mart. This has go to change. Telling a senior to go walk around the parking lot looking for their car is ludicrous. I asked the tire guy why they dont have a map and show customers where to pick car up. They said they where way to busy to do that. They need to open another Costco in Orleans!!!

I went there on Monday morning to change the flat tire, The costumer service person who helped me was Kyle. He was very helpful and he was explaining everything very well. He was very patient with all of my questions.

Worst Tire Shop I have ever been to, took 3 hours when they said 1-1.15h. Didn't put my tires back in the tire bag. (Every tire shop ive been too puts them back). Its either the manager that over books the staff or the staff that is too slow. Or probably a mixture of both. Look at the other ratings. Average rating of 1.5???? Probably the worst rating in Ottawa Get your stuff together costco.

Only one customer service person will be helping at all times and it takes 10 - 15 mins for each customer. Have to wait at least half hour to be served if you are lucky and are second or third in the line even to drop off the vehicle or to pickup. Never answers phones, you have to come to the store and wait in the line just have a question answered or to book an appointment. If you are planning to go for service or tire change at lest prepare to dedicate half day over there. And its not a one time thing it happens each and every time. Didn’t expect this from Costco.

Having a warehouse in Ottawa is excellent. I like Costco; I like getting clothing at affordable prices and food in bulk volumes. Until recently, I haven't had the opportunity to visit a warehouse in Ottawa; once I did, I had a set agenda in mind.Rotisserie chickens. An entire chicken for no more than $8. This is a great bargain, and Costco knows; they've been producing their chicken in-house to save costs on getting a middleman. This is the product you would make a pilgrimage for; just make sure you're able to finish the chicken in time.The size of the warehouse is something I've gotten accustomed to. There is simply a ton that there is to offer: groceries, medicine, photography, optics, gas, and a service centre for automobiles. The food court is always a decent place to get comfort food at good prices. They still have their $1.50 hot dog and drink combo, but I think the size of the hot dog's gotten smaller from the ones I had years ago.The commute's a bit far for me to justify going regularly, so every visit will be all the more enthralling.

Just received a Call from Costco. They cannot complete Oil Change because No Oil Filter is available. I booked 3 Weeks ago. Really do not understand why Costco is so disorganized.

Terrible customer service. Had a screw in my one tire and told they couldn't repair it due to the speed rating of the tire, I drove a regular CUV not a high-performance vehicle, and that my only option was to buy another tire. Despite the having to only pay the pro-rated price for the tire it was still $50 more than what I paid for the tire because it's based on MSRP, not the original price of the tire. Not sure what kind of training they get, but it's very basic to put the spare tire as a back wheel not in front as a braking safety issue. Ended up going to another shop who repaired it no problem. Also, was looking forward to the Bridgestone tire rebate, but the price of the tires I wanted went up by $30 each at the same time the rebate became active. This essentially cancelled the rebate. Lastly, they also seem very understaffed, but that's pretty much everywhere these days. Never again dealing with Costco for tires.
