Bytown paving recently repaved my driveway and I was %100 impressed with the professionalism of everyone involved and the way it looked. From the start of dealing with "Willy" who gave me my estimate to the day the crew showed up to do the job. Well worth the money spent, thank you!!

The team at Bytown Paving are consummate professionals who take great pride in what they do. I was looking to replace my 25 year old driveway, walkway and step. Now after seeing the final results I could not be happier.What really distinguished Bytown Paving from the competition was the relationship to the work. From early recommendations from the owner on regrading the laneway, to the attention to detail from Todd and the Interlock crew, all of their suggestions were on point and the job went super smoothly. Everything was fully completed in a week including all excavation, interlock, paving and final landscaping touches as outlined in the original estimate and on budget.I would strongly recommend Bytown Paving to anyone no matter how big or small the job!Services: Excavation & grading

Unbelievable. I had Bytown come by to give me an estimate on replacing my driveway. Their estimator came by and gave me a quote. Deposit was paid for the work. Fast forward about 6 weeks, they call me today, within 24 hours of when they were supposed to do the work telling me the owners are demanding I pay an extra $3,000 because they drove by and realized I “live on a busy street” and they will need to have flag men.Their estimator had been physically to my house and I spoke with him at length about the requirements before I paid the deposit.It wasn’t even the owners who called me, they made the poor estimator, Gerry, who I let know how unimpressed I was with the company. What a waste of my time.Avoid.

Always a pleasure to watch Bytown’s team doing quality assurance as they laid down my new driveway. Even better when you see numerous levels out ensuring things are level and the drainage is good and then a full cleanup of the area including where their machines came on and off the trailers. Crew was friendly however I noticed after they left the driveway was rough in spots and there were little cracks everywhere. After numerous calls they finally showed up unannounced, fixed a small section and said they would seal the driveway. Not sure why they didn’t fix all the cracks but they are still there. That was last year and we’ve heard nothing despite reaching out. I’ve seen other new driveways in the area and none of them have cracks! Lots of companies to choose from for asphalt in Ottawa so I suggest going with someone else.

I was hit by a car and having PSWs and home care by-- yet they couldn't get in my drivewat 2 days in a row because my neighbour was having their driveway redone and Bytown Paving decided to block mine.. 2 days in a row.Apparently being told once to not block the driveway wasn't enough.They didn't even ask or give me heads up and, as someone who was hit by a car, I can only do so much.I, not only, couldn't get my psw to come back after they finally moved-- my carer and worker couldn't even get into the driveway the next day, let alone help me to the vehicle or get me to medical appointments.This cost me both hundreds of dollars, not to mention my health and wellbeing.

Dealing with contractors is not always easy, but my experience with Bytown Paving was excellent from start to finish!The team is professional, responsive and genuinely determined to meet and exceed expectations.My wife and I wanted to have a backyard oasis and we reached to this company. They stood out because they really listened to our needs and laid out a plan that acounted for everything we were looking for.Once the work began, the project manager was always around to make sure the workers were aligned with the plan. Like any major reno, plans can shift and when we decided to make some adjustments part way through, it was handled very professionally and always with the intention of ensuring we were happy in the end.The final outcome exceeded our expectations and we are grateful to Bytown for making our backyard project something we will cherish for years to come!The Bytown team really cares about their clients, delivers on expectations and the end result is of the highest quality. We had our entire driveway, front and back yards completely renovated. The team at Bytown were nothing short of awesome. It’s been four years since we had the work done and it still looks amazing. No cracks, no weeds (in the pavers) and even the garden beds, plants were chosen with care so they’ve thrived in our sun / shade environment. Called two years in a row for service. Left messages with front desk. Never got a call back never got an estimate. Can't imagine how good the service is if they don't even have the courtesy to call back potential clients.

Bytown paved our drive through our builder. After they completed the job I contacted them the same day to explain the drive was not done correctly. It slopes towards our garage in a spot and puddles right at the base of our entryway. Bytown sent an employee to melt a trench in the drive with a torch/propane tank. When the employee was asked about the process he became offended, started swearing and stormed off. The builder said they'd have the driveway portion cut out and patched. This is not acceptable for a brand new drive. Dissatisfied and disappointed in Bytown. I wouldn't recommend them.Initially the staff was friendly and the job site was very clean.Service: Paving
