Giving out broken cones and getting mad when someone comes in scoops in one hand and broken cone in the other and saying “I shouldn’t have to tell people get a bowl not a cone” and then the other lady chimes in and says “you need to hold the cone like you hold your girlfriends butt” she said this to a 13 year old child do you really think that’s an appropriate comment to make?! Also they are so impatient with people tried to have a conversation with the one at the cash while paying all she said was “don’t care just pay” awful place don’t come here especially if you are a person of colour or have children with you

My family and I drove by boat an hour and a half to stop at "The Store At Glen Ross" to get ice cream. We were greeted by the owner, an older woman who abruptly opened the door, brushing past my face and almost whacking my head. She then went on to yell at me and my 8 year old sister about coming through the wrong entrance. We apologized, but in return she only said "no excuses." We left with no ice cream. I urge everyone to not support this business owned by a very rude person.

Don't take your kids here even though the store has ice cream and tons of candy. They hate kids and if your kid even touches something that you don't plan on buying, they will scoff and be rude. I've never seen these owners smile once. They clearly hate customer service but they are in the customer service business. Maybe not a great fit. Ps: I NEVER leave reviews...so take this as your sign that I felt so called to do so. Would give a ZERO I'd Google allowed it. This is our experience everytime we go. It's the only store near us.

One star given because it’s necessary to leave a review - zero stars is more appropriate. Owner was very rude to our group. We opted not to get anything due to her terrible attitude. Unfortunately, it’s right next to the lock, so she’ll have a steady supply of unsuspecting customers. Avoid this place at all costs.

Great store, they are always friendly and have the cutest dog who frequents the store.They carry lots of useful products and are willing to order things in you frequently need. Great selection of food, ice cream, candy and drinks.

Terrible service by the owner. She was extremely rude to our group for no good reason. She's right next to the lock, so she'll always have new customers that don't realize this lady shouldn't own a business. Plan ahead and bring your own treats to enjoy at the lock. We opted not to get anything (even though the kids were looking forward to an ice cream) as to not support such a rude business owner.

The worst general store I’ve ever encountered. My kids were deciding on ice cream and the woman behind the counter seemed bothered by us being there. My son who is 8, asked for cookies and cream, the lady handed him a pralines and cream cone, yelling “you’re welcome, you’re welcome” before even taking it. When he saw what kind it was he was hesitant to take it, she yelled - “is that not what you asked for?” He said, no, I asked for cookies and cream. She forcefully threw the scoop from the cone back into the freezer. I told my kids that we were leaving and told the woman that she was rude and ignorant. I asked for her name and she refused to give it. I told her I would be reporting her to the owner and her response was “I am the owner!” I then told her I would be leaving a negative review and she told me to go right ahead.This excuse of a business owner or whoever she is, is the most ignorant person that I have ever met. My kids were in tears leaving this store from the way she treated us. Stay as far away from this store as you can!

This place is an absolute joke. I’ve never encountered more miserable people in retail, than these two (assuming mother and daughter as they had the same lack of manners).From the minute I walked in, the storm cloud standing behind the ice cream counter wasn’t very welcoming. My husband and I felt as tho we were putting her out by getting ice cream.She told us we couldn’t have pralines and cream in a cone as it was too soft. Her gruff tone rubbed both of us the wrong way.So my husband chose another flavour.She then proceeded to prepare mine and gave me a cone that was cracked all the way down the cone. She claims she didn’t know it was like that. Liar!!!I told her she needed to brush up on her CS skills as she was truly belligerent. Her mother, or whatever she was, starts shouting at me to get my ice cream and get out. She’s literally shouting at me. For any of you that are familiar with the episode from Seinfeld about soup, I felt like I was a part of that episode. Seriously. It was the weirdest experience I have ever encountered. These women obviously have an issue and should up their meds. I’m shocked they are still in business with their ignorant attitudes…mind you, they are the only store around so I guess if you have nothing else to choose from, you don’t have a choice.Interesting to see any positive reviews! Friends, maybe…tho I’m surprised they would have any friends.Needless to say, I’m not shocked by the negative reviews as they are 100% accurate. Racist? Perhaps. Wouldn’t surprise me but I don’t think the miserable pair likes anyone.Beware…..avoid this hell hole, if possible!

The owners are great, welcoming, friendly service. They have a good variety of staples, coffee, treats and the best ice cream. I enjoy stopping in for a quick neighbourly chat too.

Extremely rude service. Just glared at me while I paid for my milk. There was another woman behind the ice cream counter that also had an unwelcoming glare. Weird experience. I won't go back here. It was just convenient.

The owners there don't understand how to treat their customers right. The service here is terrible, the owners are extremely rude and racist towards their customers. When ever we went terror they would always say rude things directly to us. Every time we went, they would say rude stuff to us. This went on for about a month and a half, but we finally decided to speak up, and they said they don't like when we go there because they don't understand the language we speak when we speak to each other, and we might steal. That is racist considering they don't say that to their other white customers. They say we don't have manners or ever say "please" or "thank you" even though we always greet them nicely with manners, and we're never rude. (Keep in mind that most of my friends don't speak English very well, so they don't know how to say please in English) I don't know how your experience was like/will be, but ours was terrible, I don't recommend coming here.
