About Grey Highlands Museum
The Grey Highlands Museum offers a highly satisfying and educational experience for visitors. Curated by Peter Whitehead, the museum's welcoming atmosphere and thoughtfully designed displays convey an important part of Canadian history. Admission is free, and with extended hours, it is a must-see destination, especially for those living nearby. Visitors should plan to spend at least 30 minutes to an hour exploring the museum, reading the wall-mounted information and listening to the videos. The museum's impressive collection includes a railway ticket office, a telephone, and a railway worker's cap, all from the time when the area was a hub of railway activity. Visitors can also learn about the region's industrial development, including schools, timber harvesting, and honey production. The museum's collection of early 20th-century clothing and photographs adds to the overall experience. With excellent customer service, a new and tastefully done layout, and a friendly, kid-friendly environment, the Grey Highlands Museum is a gem worth discovering when passing through the area.

Had a great stop here. Free to visit, small enough just to pop in and wander, and it is kid friendly. There is a quick scavenger hunt kids can complete (doable even if its a short pit stop!) And there is a public washroom, too. Great place to stop in while passing through.
