This was my first time ever going to giant tiger, and I feel was probably the smallest one wasn't so giant the grocery section was small. I feel there were more clothes than groceries. But it was interesting. Really nice friendly staff.

I love Giant Tiger but this specific store location has 2 young blonde girls who look like they’re barely 14 work there as cashiers.
The girls do not acknowledge you when you walk up to the counter, they stay chatting with one another instead, ignoring you and fixing their hair in the computer screens.
When you attempt to acknowledge them they look at you like you should find a grown up to answer your question and upon leaving, they did nothing but giggle behind my back as if the whole interaction was some inside joke.
These girls have zero professionalism and their manager should be taking more consideration into putting two highschool girls on the same shift if they're going to act so unprofessional. Probably won't visit this location again after a very tiresome interaction like this. Please take more time to properly train your younger staff on proper customer service.

I checked out Giant Tiger in Fergus for the first time over the weekend. It has a lot of good items and the store is well maintained.
One issue I have is the self-checkout was closed, as it only open at certain times. There was two workers just standing around by the cashier - not sure why one couldn't have had the self-checkout open?
When I come through Fergus, I will check out this location again.

New layout and less self checkouts was a terrible decision. Only come here if you miss the day of standing in line every time you try and check out.

This store really needs to start training their staff on proper procedures. Twice now I have bought clothing and been told yes I could return it if it didn’t fit (change rooms were full), and both times I was refused to return the items because they were final sale, after confirming they weren’t and I could return. Now I’m out almost $80 because multiple staff don’t know their own procedures. Thanks for nothing! Will go back to Guelph

It's a small store but has a little of everything. Always a sale or two going on. It's close to me so that's a plus because Walmart is too far. It's a shame it wasn't bigger. Lots of parking and handicapped parking too. Same mall as No Frills so that's a huge plus.
