Horrible customer service and selling very poor quality shoes. Spent $600 on shoes and wore one pair and within 1 hour the sole of the shoe fell apart and cracked - only wore them indoors. This store refuses to return, exchange it give credit note. Said that they had to contact manufacturer. NEVER BUY SHOES HERE! This is flagship store not outlet store! I see my experience is not unusual at this store.

I have known this Shoe Store to be at 'Cloverdale Mall', for many years! I needed a new pair of winter boots; and decided to visit this well-appointed shoe store! I was not sure, when the store would close for the day ( October 31st). As I entered the store, I was warmly greeted by Anne has worked at this location, for 7 years! She is friendly, very knowledgeable about shoes she sells and she is very 'helpful' during the 'fitting': helping me with the new boots AND helping me put my old boots back on!! I also met Liz, who has worked at Star Shoes for over 30 years! The price was 'right' and my new boots are staying inside my flat, until I am comfortable with them. (Don't want to use my leather spray, yet!) All in all, I am very delighted with my purchase. I have Anne and Liz to thank for that!!

I saw this shop had some really nice shoe styles by chance, even though I live far away, I drove for around 1.5 hours to come here last week and bought two pairs of boots. When I got home I found that one of the pairs of leather shoes was completely damaged, with the leather constantly peeling off. They have a two-week exchange policy, so today after finishing work, I drove another 1.5 hours to come here. When I arrived at the store, there were 5 minutes left until their closing time, but the staff told me they had already closed. So I found the store owner and explained my situation, considering that people have special circumstances, and I was even willing to pay extra. However, they would rather spend 10 minutes rejecting any of my requests than help me exchange for another pair of shoes. In the end they gave me an exchange voucher and told me it was valid indefinitely. I asked the store owner, "So is it right to sell me a damaged pair of shoes?" She replied, "I've sold too many shoes; I can't guarantee that every pair is good." Yes, I regret not taking a picture of the returned shoes. In the end, I spent 1.5 hours coming to Etobicoke, and the scenery here is quite nice. Here is my response based on your previous reply:1. I arrived at your outlet store first, and the staff there told me the owner was at the flagship store. So, was I speaking with the owner?2. I completely understand Cloverdale Mall's security regulations, but let's talk logically. If the mall closes at 6 PM, how did I enter the mall? Because by that time, the mall was already locked, so in reality, I didn't enter your store five minutes after closing.3. I can accept a polite explanation from the staff that they couldn't assist me or even a rude attitude as long as they helped me with the shoe exchange, rather than a rude attitude and no assistance.4. What I need is a negotiation to resolve the issue. I even asked if anyone would be willing to help send the shoes to me, and I offered a tip and shipping costs, but no one attempted to address the problem.5. I'm being very objective here. When I visited your store last week, the employee at the flagship store was very friendly and helpful, and your shoe selection is excellent. If you have security cameras in your store, please check if I entered before or after 6 PM.

If a store doesn’t return item, make sure something wrong with that. I bought 2 pairs of shoes. One for home one for my work. In an hour both of them completely broken. I paid about $100. First day I wore them for 1 hour I had shoes. Rest of day for 7 hours I was working in clinic with bare feet. It was a terrible day. I was very angry. The shoes I bought for home broken too in first day. When return it they said our policy is that we give our credit to buy another pair of shoes. With this bad experience if I can buy shoes from that store? I didn’t accept the credit and I lost $95. I want to say notice that they don’t return if your shoes is broken even on the first they

Horrible service. Good luck trying to get through to the Cloverdale location. I have been trying for the last 5 days to check the status of a special order shoe. Nobody picks up the phone AND nobody returns your call. This is poor customer service after you have already paid for the shoes in full. If I could rate zero stars I would.

I bought a pair of winter boots here that fell apart after a couple of days. Brought them back and was told "they must be defective, my wife bought hers and they are great." So I took another pair of the same boots and went home. They fell apart after a couple of days. Brought them back and was told I could not get my money back becasue the two week deadline for returns had passed dating from my purchase of the first pair of boots! Avoid this store.

My last trip to the store (ever) was last month. The shoes are super expensive for the quality you get (my shoes broke down after 2 short walks). Additionally, you'll experience one of the most unprofessional customer services here despite your extreme patience. God forbid you have to return something, you'll get "By law, I can keep your money for several weeks before it gets refunded onto your visa." I had to go there several times just to make sure my money gets back onto my card, even though
