I’ve been buying from Pottery Barn for years. I usually enjoy their store experience at Sherway. Not today. Maruk at the cash desk was really short with me. I had a problem with my order ( I purchased it online, drove for 2 hrs for a store pickup - only to find out the store cancelled it because they didn’t have stock). She wouldn’t help and told me I can only call customer service to solve it. Which I did. Customer service told me when the store cancels the order they are responsible for the refund etc.
I went around in loops trying to solve it. I was truly kind and patient about their entire mess up and she was abrupt and condescending. Terrible customer service. I’m so deeply disappointed to experience that in their store.
She can work on her kindness to others. Ugh.

Absolutely awful experience trying to purchase an item from this location. The manager refused to sell me the candleholder that was displayed on a table, saying it was a floor model and not for sale, even though they had none in stock to sell. I have never had this issue at the Yorkdale location. She was very condescending, rude and unhelpful when she spoke to me. Like I had the audacity to try and purchase something from her store. They said they had 7 coming in transit but I could not even purchase one as it is not physically in the store yet. I called the Yorkdale location the same moment and the associate sold me the item over the phone and it is ready for me to pick up. I will only be shopping from the Yorkdale Pottery Barn location as their stock is better and their staff are kinder and more helpful.

I would give 0 stars if possible. Ordered the modern farmhouse writing desk in August. The customer reps at the mall told me if I ordered through them they would help expedite the delivery, and so I did go in to the store and placed an order. Checked in October. Said that the delivery was scheduled between October 1st-October 30th. It’s 26th October today and I reached out to the store and requested them to provide an update. They clearly told me they had no control and I had to reach out to the customer service and gave me the number. Called customer service only to find out that they haven’t even shipped the desk yet. I asked them to cancel the order and they said they won’t do that either. The order will only be refunded if the item is lost in shipping. What’s going on with this? BAD customer service and even worse management.

Was supposed to deliver a small writing desk. They had promised to deliver within 2 months (which is already more than any client would be comfortable agreeing to). The 2 month time period is now over and they say they might have misplaced the desk and would only deliver by December , which is another month. Also, when I asked for a refund, the customer service rep told me they do not entertain refund requests once the product is shipped. Canadians should not buy from these American companies until they start manufacturing in Canada. Time to boycott these overpriced American Brands

Order arrived weeks later than originally stated. Was delivered onto front lawn during the middle of the day when no one was home in a busy neighborhood. Thieves stole the contents and Pottery Barn won't replace or refund.
Customer service was difficult to reach and will not do anything to remedy the situation.
If you like being out hundreds of dollars and being treated poorly, consider shopping at Pottery Barn.

Place a $4000 order and it gets backed up for six months, customer services HANGS UP the phone when we call in. Great stuff.

I had an exceptional shopping experience, thanks to Suchetna.
She went above & beyond to help me find what I needed, answered all my questions with patience. I appreciated her excellent customer service.
I'm sure she's a valuable asset to the team.
Kudos to Carolyn, the Store manager, as well, for nurturing such a talent.
I'll definitely be back to the store at this location.

I purchased curtains and had a great experience only for it to be ruined when I had to return them due to them being defective. Upon returning them I had a very nice lady who was assisting them another unpleasant sales associate asked her to read the screen- then the lady assisting me asked if I had any hardware with my curtains (included) I said no- as the specific curtains do not come with hardware (they are only pole pocket or pole tab) the unpleasant associate then insinuated I stole them telling me that’s why are they say 2 in 1 - I then in return explained what it meant. I’m absolutely disgusted with the behaviour of this associate - the attitude- the way she looked at me. For one- as an associate know your products- two- if you have a problem with customers taking the hardware then you should know what curtains carry it and what don’t so that you aren’t accusing a customer while also making them feel like garbage. Do better.After speaking with the manager in regards to this- she has apologized and said they will rectify the error of the associate and how things are handled. She made me feel better about wanting to return in the future.

The staff and management at this store are extremely rude and unhelpful. If you ask for assistance, including purchasing an item, you will be treated as a huge inconvenience. I will no longer shop with Pottery Barn following my experiences with the staff in-store and the company's customer service.
