Had the craziest experience. I got a plant - on the shelf it was displayed as $14.99 but when the scanned it showed $19.99
When asked to check the price on shelf, they went to check and refused to match the price on the shelf claiming that the product code (SKU) on the plant and shelf tag doesn't match so they wont price match.
I took the plant from a bunch of similar plants and infact the person who went to check removed the tags from the shelf saying its wrongly priced. We felt that we were very unfairly treated. Its not about the $5 really, but when pointed out the mistake they don't even have the capacity to accept or reciprocate that it was their mistake.
"THE MANAGER LITERALLY SAID ITS CUSTOMER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK IF THE SKU MATCHES ON THE PRODUCT AND SHELF. "
This is the craziest thing I have heard and I'm amazed that it came out of a manager's mouth. Even the least experienced manager knows that its not customer's responsibility that SKUs match. I can only laugh about the fact he lied on our face with that much confidence. Come on, keep up the moral guys!
As a customer, my responsibility is to see the price on the shelf or on the product only not the freaking small product codes (SKU) written on the tag.
Never returning again! And I'm sure the store doesn't care lol!

I recently visited this store to buy a couple of plants, one of the plant (Calathea triostar )was clearly labeled at $14.99 on the shelf. Every plant of this type was placed under the same price label, so it was reasonable to expect this price at checkout. However, the plant scanned at $19.99. When I pointed out the discrepancy and mentioned the Scanner Price Accuracy Code, the manager not only ignored the policy but insisted it was my responsibility to verify SKU codes on the pot to ensure they matched the label.
One of the staff members even acknowledged the pricing error and went as far as removing the incorrect labels, clearly validating that the price on the shelf was misleading. Despite this, the manager still charged me the higher price of $19.99, disregarding both the displayed price and the Scanner Price Accuracy Code, which should have entitled me to the lower price.
This response was rude , dismissive and unprofessional. The Scanner Price Accuracy Code exists to protect customers from pricing discrepancies, not to place the burden on us to match SKU codes. So unacceptable, and unfair . I just decided to return all items and walked out.

So slow, have to prepare at least half an hour just in line to speak to anyone at the automotive service desk.

Well stocked store.
Be aware of the difference between "GREAT VALUE " and On Sale. Usually both advertised in red, (displayed).

Reviews in regards to garage specifically.
If you know what has to be done to your car, this is a good place. Other than that, they’re not so good at diagnosis to my personal experience. They made me come 3 times using their “elimination method” and the noise from my car that needs fixing was still there. Came back the fourth time bringing my own part and knowing what has to be done, my car was fixed!
Another worth noting point is that they don’t do much muffler welding work. My flange broke off, showed them the picture and asked them to weld it. After a 2-hour inspection, they declined to weld using a new sleeve and quoted $350 to put in an entire new muffler while the flange is the only broken part. Paid $50 for “inspection fee” for telling me what I already knew and brought to Minute Muffler, which fixed it for much less than half the price in 15 minutes. They made me wait for 2 hours just to do the said inspection and declined to give me an Uber. That was a total pointless visit to Canadian Tire. Canadian Tire is the only place I go to since I first owned a car. That was a total added up disappointment.

Usually happy with Canadian Tire. Had a terrible experience at this location.
They stopped me from going in citing bags are not allowed. So I drop my bag in the car and come back. But once inside, I see that plenty of people are carrying similar bags. It just so happens that folks with bags inside were white women.
Feels like the guard targeted me.

Ridiculously difficult checkout procedure involving 3 cashiers and about 20 minutes. Not even interested in fixing their errors or apologizing for wasting our time. Customer is always wrong. 2 days later I brought the old battery back for core refund. TWO more lineups!!!

We booked an appointment with them for oil change at 6PM, after being told it will just take an hour, we ended up sitting there for 2 full hours. If you book an appointment with them, their service is really slow, make sure you give it a good 2 - 2.5 hours. Staff isn't really helpful and welcoming (possible they were tired towards the end) but it's always been like that. No empathy for customers waiting for above 2 hours

When can this store bring real employees that can do real work for sure going elsewhere now.

Poor service, especially automotive services. Called and was on hold for 15 minutes, while I was waiting to let them know I was in the parking lot for an appointment (I didn’t want to stop the car due to a dead battery). Came into the store after waiting for so long on the phone, only to find three staff members at the auto desk doing nothing, with zero customers being served, and one of them just watching videos on his phone. Beware if you come here, this is the level of customer service you should expect.
