“My actual rating is 4.5! David was great to work with. We (my parents and I) contracted with David for a remodel of their home, after having begun the project with another contractor. David came in and provided the required consulting to reassure all of us, clarify the process, guide and navigate us through everything from permits, design, demo, and construction. Like all construction projects, ours required regular communication and there were a some delays. What impressed me was David's commitment to the communication, along with his transparency and accountability. David stated in the opening meeting that "We will treat this like is was one of our homes, and do the work in a way that we'd want for ourselves or one of our own family members." Throughout the process, I felt he lived up to that commitment, even when challenges arose. The work itself: 1. A detached garage - structural work (exterior, roof, flooring, and shelves2. Kitchen - flooring, and skylight, along with door, and paint3. Upstairs - new flooring4. 2 bathrooms - flooring, 1 shower, vanity for both, and paint5. Downstairs - flooring, and paint, and a door6. Decks for upstairs and downstairs7. Outside - Railing and fencing, retaining wall at the street8: Living room - flooring, structural work around the brick fireplace, and paint9. HVAC - Heating and Air Conditioner unit10. Outside - foundation improvementsNote: demo, debris removal all includedQuality: Both design and execution was done with a high level of quality, attention to detail, and care. Even when we didn't see things with our layman's eye, he would call out things that could be done to ensure quality at the highest standard. David wasn't willing to cut corners on quality to finish quickly. That doesn't mean we has unduly long delays, but if a day or two would make the difference in being completely satisfied or extremely pleased...David would recommend and opt for extremely pleased for us - his client. That said, each consult was a collaboration. David didn't impose or force a decision, but rather provided the information and insight so that we could determine the best path together.Value: David and his team offered options from subcontractors, vendors, financing, and materials at a value that worked with our budget. For anyone who has been through a remodel, you know - on time and on budget are very very rare. That said, you go into these things hoping for close to your timeline and within the reasonable range of your budget...10-15%. David helped ensure we met those goals, and because of the quality of service...anchored by years of experience and his integrity...we were extremely pleased with the value of our engagement.Overall - I would and plan to work with David on future projects. He left us feeling he's someone we can trust. He has knowledge of the products, materials, and process. He has the resources and team to deliver the work at the highest quality standards. Most of all, he's present and accountable for his clients, and operates with integrity. David and Lauren (our project manager) were the representatives of Eco Bay Remodeling who worked on our project, and they did an excellent job leaving me with a lasting impression. They remodeled our home top to bottom and my parents are thrilled with their new living space. After 34 years in that home, it's like a new home!”
