If you take all the best parts of a grocery store, a ton of fresh fruits and vegetables, then added a huge selection of fresh flowers and some friendly & knowledgeable staff, you have Passion Fruits.

I always get my flowers from here, but this time I bought a huge array of loose flowers to create a flower bar for our friends bridal shower. Everyone loved the flowers! The gentleman at the counter was incredibly helpful!

Been going here for years. When I need to know I'm getting fresh stuff, I'll bypass the big stores and drive out of my way to go there. And the people can't be nicer. Love this place. Always have.

Unfortunately, we've no other option but to place a negative review on Passion Fruits and sister store, Savoury Tymes. My parents have been shopping here for years, mostly for the wonderful flower arrangements and, the odd time, some produce to stock the fridge. In the past few months, my wife had begun shopping for produce at this store exclusively, especially with the current COVID-19 situation, up until one week ago. For our second year anniversary, I purchased what began as a beautiful blue flowered hydrangea plant. One week later, my wife noticed webs and several spider mites on the stems, which she proceeded to clean. ultimately, my wife decided to trim the entire plant as the webs had covered nearly all of the stems. My wife brought the plant along with the spider mite in a jar to the store to inquire about getting our money back, or at least an exchange for another plant that did not have any signs of infestation. Dianna immediately offered to take the infected plant and provide us with an orchid replacement, close enough in price to the $35 hydrangea we'd purchased only 7 days prior. Until her husband, Chen, the owner and ultimate 'decision maker,' arrived, and immediately quashed any such offer by his wife, Dianna, suggesting that "no free plant' would be offered, suggesting the hydrangea was being held in a pot that his store had never kept. After trying to reason with Chen and his false accusation that we were trying to claim a plant that hadn't been purchased at his store, my wife had no other choice but to leave (largely due to an impatient 2 year old who doesn't really have the patience for such a situation ;). I later called Chen myself, asking him about the situation, and after a 30 minute discussion, Chen was adamant in accepting zero responsibility for the spider mite, claiming once again, and incorrectly at that, 1) the plant did not come from his store based on the pot/container, 2) that we hadn't done a sufficient job in 'isolating' the plant from other plants 3) deflecting 100% the possibility that the mites were present when the plant was purchased, 4) that we'd waited too long to return the plant, 5) that we'd cut too much of the plant to present to their supplier for reimbursement. I explained that we have always been very pleased with his products, aside from the plant, and were just looking for an exchange for a plant that did not have any signs of insects. In Chen's words, "I may be stupid, but there's no way in hell that I'll be giving you a plant for free"..."I'd rather go bankrupt than have customers like you". In the end, Chen's insensible comments and complete denial of any possible responsibility made the decision rather simple. This was an unfortunate turnout given our family's history with Passionfruits/Savory Tymes and considering it was all over a $35 plant. Most concerning was Chen's decision to 'overrule' his wife, Diana's decision to provide us with another product comparable in price to the plant we'd bought, and Chen's ultimate stubbornness not to accept any liability whatsoever. I hope other customers don't experience the same, and hopefully Chen can learn to occasionally 'give back' to their loyal customers in the odd time their products are defective, or potentially defective ! Surely he could have approached his supplier advising them of the infected plants and they would have reimbursed him and potentially saved other customers from experiencing the same. Small minded owner that fortunately does not head the store regularly, and leaves this to his much more capable wife, Diana. Unfortunately for us, we happenned to step in the one time he was in the store and not out on a produce run !

Wide selection of goods. However, produce may not be fresh. I bought a bag of sweet potatoes and they were all mouldy.

What a fantastic place! they have an amazing assortment of fresh fruit, veggies and flowers. When so many places were closing mid march 2020, they stayed open and made sure that they still had lots of fruit and veggies to choose from while all other stores were bare. They were very nice, and when everyone saw that we got lots of fresh fruits and veggies, we were euphoric. A great world class shop.

This is an excellent neighbourhood store. The wide range of excellent fruits & vegetables, floral arrangements and gourmet sundries make it a perfect stop on the grocery rounds. Owner, Diana, is very knowledgeable on a range of culinary and floral topics and friendly. Staff is polite and helpful.
