Never been there before. Maybe it's because it's the end of the season. But the store was kind of half empty of supplies. Everything was a little pricey but that's not surprising for being in the middle of nowhere.

I feel like this used to be an amazing place. It's still pretty neat to see, and the history is amazing. There was no service by anyone in the building, and the products were scattered all over with no rhyme or reason.

From what I knew this store to be to what it is now .. very disappointing. Dorset deserves better.

Robinson’s has noticeably gone done hill with the new ownership. Disappointing to see because it was always a treat to go to the general store while on our stays in Haliburton. Mr Robinson will roll over on his grave knowing what has happened.

Huge disappointment. I have to now travel 45 minutes to Huntsville. Major inconvenience.

Robinson’s General Store in Dorset has that classic vintage charm from the outside, but don’t let its small appearance fool you. Inside, it’s like a cozy maze packed with everything you could imagine—think Walmart, but with a homey feel. This place really is a one-stop shop, offering everything from fishing gear and automotive equipment to food, snacks, alcohol, souvenirs, and even quality name-brand clothing. Right next door, there’s a little spot serving up some decent poutine with generous portions. Whether you’re stocking up for a trip or just passing through, Robinson’s has it all.

I have been coming to Robinsons for 63 years. The new owners-are working very hard to improve the store after the last owner was a disaster.

Very handy to have a grocery store in cottage country but the prices are high even compared to the high prices we see today all over

The very best General Store in Canada to buy spoiled meat! We bought chicken, which was spoiled a few hours later, and wrote it off as a fluke. Went back a few days later and bought ground pork which was rotten the next morning.
