Absolutely the worst service, period! I called ahead of my first visit to inquire about their nail trimming and babysitting services. The woman on the phone seemed nice, and we agreed that the nail trimming would be $15 per bird, and we would discuss babysitting when I arrived.
I went the next day, walked in, and she was standing with a customer. She just stared at me without saying a word. I had no idea who the owner was and had to ask, and it was the customer who answered, not her. I reminded her about our conversation the day before and mentioned I was there for my appointment.
She started trimming my first bird’s nails, and I didn’t watch closely at first. When she finished, there was blood everywhere! My bird’s toe was bleeding, and it took several minutes for the bleeding to stop. She tried to excuse her poor trimming skills by claiming that I didn’t get them trimmed often enough, which caused the bleeding. But my birds are under a year old—how often could they possibly need trimming?
The bird room was also filthy, with poop all over the floor and dusty air. There was no way I’d ever leave my birds there for babysitting! After she finished with both birds, I just wanted to leave. I asked for the total price, expecting to e-transfer her $30 as agreed. She suddenly claimed it was $45 because my birds were "difficult to handle"—which is completely untrue. They are extremely friendly and never bite, but they were understandably terrified after she made one of them bleed.
I watched how she handled the second bird: she used a dirty towel and cut its nails brutally with scissors. Instead of using a proper nail-polishing machine, she used an iron stick! It was horrifying. I felt sick but just wanted to leave, so I didn’t even argue about the price.
She is the rudest person I have ever met. I was polite and smiled throughout, but she had a grumpy face and a horrible tone the entire time. If you didn’t know any better, you’d think I owed her a million dollars based on how she treated me. Her social skills are non-existent, and her customer service is disgusting.
On top of that, her trimming technique was atrocious, leaving both my birds terrified and bleeding. I also noticed what appeared to be sick birds in the store. Avoid this place at all costs—for the sake of your mood and the safety of your beloved parrots!

Whenever I’m in need of a pick-me-up, Ziggy’s is the place! I love spending time in the bird room interacting with whoever happens to be out and about. I do not own any birds right now, but that doesn’t matter to Kelly (the owner). She is so knowledgeable and patient with my questions, and she always slips me some treats to help me make new friends. By the time I head out, I’ve usually amassed an adoring flock of friends who adore my glasses, rings, hair and any buttons or frills I may have on my clothes. It’s always a wonderful experience.

This is a wonderful place that's all bird focused! They have actual healthy foods for birds, not just the junk food you only find at big chain stores. The shop owner is a wonderful lady and she's extremely knowledgeable in everything aviary. She has an amazing selection of birds to choose from, too. There is a room for the birds to free fly in so they're not caged up day in and day out, and you can be in that room and interact with the bird you're considering to buy. I highly recommend going there for all your birds' needs, or if you're looking to purchase a bird too. I purchased a Cockatiel from her, and he's been the best curious little companion. I only buy food and toys for my little guy from her.

Great store with knowledgeable owner. We got a cockatiel back in June 2023 and she is a perfect bird. Planning to get another soon. Anyone who gives a bad review, stating the place has bird dander and droppings in the bird room, clearly has never owned a bird. Ignore the bad reviews. The birds are well taken care of, and are let out regularly for exercise and interaction, anytime I have been there.

The owner of the store is very helpful. Knowledge and understanding is a wealth of information. If she doesn’t have it, she has connections to get it. She has several birds she’s very kind and caring and understanding will lend a hand when needed and help out when needed. Communication is amazing Kelley you’re amazing person and thank you for everything that you do.

I recently purchased our Bourkes Parakeet from Ziggys and it was a great experience!The store is packed with seemingly endless options of toys, cages, food and treats. The birds and parrots that are in store seemed very well taken care of, are given the opportunity to free fly out of their cages every day and are even given fresh fruits and veggies in addition to their high quality food. Needless to say, I felt very confident purchasing our Bourkes from Kelly!Kelly was knowledgeable, kind and had all of the paperwork available for our new friends DNA panel which showed he is a male. She printed out the recipe for the fruit/veggie mix she makes and even clipped his nails for me without me having to ask. I also got to chat with Spencer who was busy taking care of all of the birds.. he was so polite and I really enjoyed chatting with him!It’s a 40 minute drive from my home but this will be the only store that I visit for my bird supplies from now on.Thank you Kelly for our newest feathered friend! He is already making us so happy ❤️

Very friendly owner, extremely knowledgeable and gave us ample time to make us understand our needs and didn’t push us buy anything in hurry. She knows what she’s doing. :)
