Staff followed my mom, my partner and myself around the store. Constantly watched us and made us vary uncomfortable. I couldn't pick up a single item to look at without staff making comments. It made us uncomfortable and we left quickly. We where going to by a couple things but decided against it based on how we where treated.

The Native Renaissance Art Gallery on Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory is a cultural hub showcasing Indigenous art, founded by Mohawk artist Thomas B. Maracle. It features a diverse range of works, including stone sculptures, paintings, and beadwork, blending traditional and contemporary styles. The connected gift shop offers handcrafted jewelry, moccasins, and ceremonial items like sweetgrass and sage. Visitors enjoy a peaceful, immersive experience while learning about Mohawk culture and supporting Indigenous artisans.

The most amazing place ever. Once you enter you just feel the positivity and calmness. We learned so much and we are so grateful to have visited and learn. Must visit spot!

The stuff followed us around like we were going to take items. This was after purchasing a couple of overpriced things earlier. It was unwelcoming and an awkward experience. If it weren’t for a friend’s upcoming birthday, I wouldn’t have purchased more. Regret buying anything at all. Got the message though, won’t be back!

Well worth checking out if you're getting gas in the Mohawk territory or are passing through. They've a wide variety of artisanal items and crafts from local Mohawk and other First Nation artisans including candles, quilts, moccasins and cosmetics. The prices are reasonable and there's a gallery on the upper floor showcasing the sculptures of a local Mohawk artist. The ladies working at the store were very kind and Verna gave me a tour of the gallery upstairs and answered a lot of my questions re the local community.

Very well stocked. Only issue was the prices are on the higher side compared to other retail outlets.
